Great place to stay, well maintained, good bar and tasty dinners. If you are traveling on foot please not that the place is far away from the city centre.
Really helpfull staff
Friendly and efficient service. Very comfortable quiet room. Had a delicious evening meal and great choice of food for breakfast. Sheila
Excellent food, service, and surroundings. Would love a weekend stay. Well done to all
The entrance hall is beautiful (that's why you got from me 1 star).
The rooms are smelly. I would strongly suggest to change the carpets in the rooms as their condition is indistinguishable to those in London pubs. Also, it is very good practice to wash the curtains time to time. And don't even make me to start about the food that is overpriced! Veg was sitting, (hopefully) in the fridge, for the last couple weeks and I was, perhaps the 3rd person to eat that very same potato wedges with some fries mixed in as a bonus 👍 Thanks God that at least your staff keeps smiling!
The service was terrible. We were waiting a long time before anyone came to take our Sunday lunch order. Hardly anyone in the place. When we did eventually give our order of soup and main course.i had to ask for soup spoons! !! Which should gave been put on the table. When we asked for water for the table in came 15 minutes later in a plastic jug!!! Again I had to ask for glasses to drink it. Meal was OK. Asked for 2 latte coffees and one regular. When they arrived the latte was warm milk with no coffee in it.!! In between 3 people came at different times to clear our table while another member of our group was eating. I had to tell them on all occasions that the lady was still eating. Etiquette. Never clear a table unless all our finished. They are trying to rate the Hotel as I am not sure of the "Star" status but please train train your staff appropriately. I don't think I will go back again, as reports are bad. They must have pulled out all the stops for H.s H prince Albert.
On viewing there website the rooms were modern and stylish however the rooms we were given were outdated and in need of maintanence and repair. The staff are a tribute to this hotel courteous, friendly and welcoming. Breakfast had a wide variety of options available also.
Rooms are nothing like on the website. Bulbs gone everywhere in the room. Bed very uncomfortable. Rooms not clean. Way over priced. Won't be staying here again
Feeling great with the help of the trainer. Seeing results and improving my self esteem. Meeting interesting people and seeing old friends
Readable price with nice rooms !
Hotel has been revamped to a very high standard, rooms very impressive
Hotel undergoing extensive renovations - no mention of this was made when I booked my trip - I stayed end September for 2 nights. Single woman - in the part which was not refurbished, was a very long way from the reception along long dark corridors which eventually the lights came on as I walked down and up an elevator which was a long walk to also. No where did I see a sign apologising for the mess - skirting boards were off and carpets loosened at the edges and it looked so dated and dirty because of it - my bedroom was dated and they hid the coffee making facilities in a cupboard instead of out where I could see them! - Was quiet enough and pleasantly warm enough but still would not have booked if I had known about the renovations. So much for saving the environment - I hung up my towel to keep it till next day and they still took it to wash - was really not necessary.
They offer all you may need. Rooms look somewhat not modern, but they are fully equipped. Plus, they're really spacious and bathrooms look impeccable. Staff are very polite. You need a car, since it is in the outskirts of Drogheda, although very near.
Stayed here a few weeks ago for a local wedding, with high expectations having viewed their website. I was shocked to find that half of the hotel is being renovated, with builders debris in the hallways, cables, tools and all sorts of items accessible to residents. Unfortunately my room hadn't been renovated, suffering from scuff marks on the door frame, an ageing bathroom and drab 70s decor. I went for a swim, and while the pool was nice enough (could be a little warmer), again everything was old and tired (changing rooms, seated area) and desperately in need of renovation. Food was much better; both the breakfast in the morning and evening meals were very nice, although the menus could benefit from a little modernisation and variation too (where are the vegetarian and vegan options?) Would I stay here again? Not a chance!
