  Lovely and historical old building, 4 minutes walk to the shopping and dining precinct. Most of the town historical buildings are a short walk and New Grange and the Boyne Battle Field are only 20 minutes drive from Scholars. The single bedroom was very small. Breakfast was excellent. Raymond

  Wonderfully welcoming hotel with terrific interior. Excellent food and excellent staff. Lovely flowers on the small terrace which is delight to sit and enjoy a local gin and tonic. Exceptional value for money.

  We had dinner there this Friday night. The food was awesome and so was the cocktail I ordered. The service was brilliant for the first two courses, however on the last course, a big party of 10 people arrived and the service took a decline as they only had one waiter at that stage in the dining room. We sat for ages waiting for someone to take the dessert plates and bring the bill. The party that arrived were also terribly noisy and disruptive, they should have been put in a private room. I would go back as I am keen to try the other feasts on the menu. Good job to the chef
