  I visited this store today the 7th November 2017 with the intention of purchasing a dehumidifier. I asked the lady on reception to seek a person for assistance. She duly announced over the intercom asking John to go to aisle twenty one. No one arrived. I went to the receptionist and told I was leaving because no one came. I said I believe Woodies sell them. I thought she would then say please wait and I will get someone else. Instead she said "yes I believe Woodies have a good selection." Wow, that left me breathless. So Woodies here I come!!! I give one star for making the announcement.

  Good store with some bargains at the moment. One thing annoys me though, they usually only have one or two on the cash desk with dozens of staff walking around. Some long delays when its busy, like it was today. Managers very slow to appear too, when called over the intercom to validate discounts etc., resulting in further delays.

  Nobody ever around when you need help. When you do get help they point you in the wrong direction for the product that you looking for. The B&Q website is really bad and can't get prices on normal things unless it's in their brochure

  Prices are a premium but opening hours and convenience along with their wide range of products make them good to have in Athlone
