Beautiful house just 5 minutes from the quaint town of Cong (which houses a John Wayne museum from the film The Quiet Man). Christina was a great hostess and was very helpful when asked what there was to do in the area.

My wife and I stayed for a number of weeks in the summer of 2012 while doing academic research in the region. Our hosts were fabulous, inviting, and friendly. We might have adopted the dog, though alas, we could not bring her with us. The rooms were comfortable and inviting with a scenic view of Mayo countryside, the bathrooms excellent and the heating warm (and usable, despite our American sensibilities). Meals were prompt and frankly some of the best we had while in Ireland, and we basically pub crawled from sea to sea for two months. Parking can get tight if there's a full house, but that's a minor complaint at worst. Given the choice, we'd be back at Ashfield House in a heartbeat upon a return trip, of which we are severely overdue.

Close to Ashfield Castle. Fantastic breakfast. The manager is very friendly too. Overall lovely place.

Durant mon séjour en Irlande, j'ai séjourné dans 4 b&b celui-ci a été pour moi le plus décevant, chambre exègue, insonorisation mauvaise ainsi que connexion wifi très partielle, accueille sympa mais artificiel, j'ai trop ressenti que le business est primordial. Par contre Cong est vraiment sympa et l'endroit est bien situé pour visiter le connemara

My time here has been another great experience. The location is great and the owners provide the necessary services to make sure your vacation is not without comfort. The beds were comfortable with complete access to a bathroom, not to mention the views. The bed and breakfast does have wifi, allowing you to connect with friends and family on your down time, but it's not the fastest in the room so make your way to the common area for better connections. It's also a great spot to read a book. Breakfast did take a little while but this comes at no criticism since everything was home made and very delicious. Another great location that I would revisit!
