What a wonderful park. You have several walking routes and a great 5K cycling track, a large children's playground, benches, BBQ areas, the castle itself and the wonderful views down on to the Irish sea. It's a great place to walk the dog, go with family or just by yourself. Ample parking (during busy periods they open an overflow) and attentive park rangers.

A beautifully situated stately home, with extensive grounds (just over 78 hectares), stunning coastal views and well cared-for walled and rose gardens. There's a playground for the kids and those needing refreshment will find both dog-friendly and dog-free coffee shops. There are two car parks, with the one nearer the house restricted to disabled drivers only (not only the wheelchair-bound as suggested by another reviewer).

Love this place!
You can go for a long or a short walk, with your dog, kids, a wheelchair, There is parking on top of the hill and next to the castle (only for wheelchair users). You will also find a nice rose garden and a coffee shop (dog friendly) as well as a huge playground. The further you walk down the hill (behind the castle) the more secluded it gets. In the recent year a fairly trail was also added.

Possibly the best parkland in Dublin. Great place to stroll with lots of lovely views. Terrific playground for the children. There are lots of activities at certain times. Recently (March 2017) it became compulsory to.keep your dog on a leash. Pity, as it was the ideal.place to exercise your pooch. There is, however, a dog-friendly cafe, Paws. A guided tour of the castle is worthwhile.

Wonderful grounds with great views out over the sea. Loved the tour of the castle itself, especially the old library and won amongst the kitchens and scullery. There's a lovely wee coffee shop there and you can have a cuppa outside if the weather allows.

On a good day perfect place for a picnic. Big playground makes the trip with the kids worth while. Nice gardens and plenty of paths to walk around the castle and if you running out of steam make sure you stop and get some nice pastry and cup of coffee/tea in the castle cafe.
