Have travelled many times to here as my father worked on the estate.
Don't like the fact you have to pay to have a simple walk around
Very nice place to bring kids and with lots to do.. Lovely food also in the coffee shop..
The staff are amazing and make the best food I've had in ages.. 🙂👌 cheers Michelle.
went with a few friends for a coffee and a chat was lovely sitting outside the cafe while the kids played
Such a great find. Travel along the Boyne Valley Drive and look out for the Loughcrew Cairns signs. You will find loughcrew on that road. It has a little of everything. Great open demesne. Art and sculptures placed around. Beautiful flowers, water features and hedges. Lots of info signs. Activities center for those more adventurous! Coffee shop is light and airy and the food fresh & healthy.
Treasure hunt is really for young people but overall we had a good time there
“Can you wave at the camera the next time you're coming down the zip wire”
Situated near lough crew cairns the adventure center is located in the gardens of Loughcrew house, once the home of Oliver Plunkett.
I took the family as there was a deal going on at the center for activities. The kids loved the zip wire. There was a great collection of cakes in the cafe for a treat afterwards.

We visited yesterday with a seven year old. Had a nice visit but could be more for younger children. Swing and slide that is near the coffee shop is is for toddlers and not very inviting.Play area with swings, slides and climbing frame would be lovely and perhaps a small maze. Staff were lovely and helpful and as it was a fine day the gardens looked lovely.
It was a good day..But OMG it was very expensiveI would recommend you bring a lunch with you as the cafe us way over priced..The staff are friendly and dogs r welcome once they r kept on their leads..The zip line is great fun and the games in the forest but very over priced.they should have a family package and they should do better deals in the cafe. A small bowl of soup and Sandwich was 7 euros with no salad r CripsI wouldn't be rushing back
TOTAL RIPOFF. Go to Tullynally Castle instead which are large, beautiful, well maintained gardens and only 5 euro in: A complete bargain compared to this waste of money. This place is really cheesey and pathetic, like something a bunch of kids would put together in their back garden, and just badly run. Places like this give irish tourism a bad reputation.
