Arrived at the bus station looking for a counter. Several people immediately asked me where I was going and followed me around a bit. There is no ticket counter. I was heading from Ubung to Gillmanuk by bus. The bus will have a sign on the front that says Denpasar - Gillmanuk. I asked everyone at the bus stop what bus, just to be sure as I had heard stories of scams on buses. You will pay the driver or his colleague on the bus. I paid 70,000 idr for my ticket. The bus stops frequently to pick up and let people off as it is a local bus. The seats are fine, not a lot of leg room and no AC but the doors are left open and you can slide open the bottom window for a breeze. The ride itself was great and it stops a 2 minute walk from where you would buy a ferry ticket. Overall an affordable 4 hour drive!
Main bus station near Denpasar city, regular departures to the ferry port in Gilimanuk, standard fare is 40.000 rupiah, 3 to 4 hour trip depending on traffic facilities in the terminal and the busses themselves all have seen better times
We still can take the last Isuzu to Singaraja at 5pm or 6pm and will arrive in the next 2.5 hours. Ticket : 50K/person if it’s only 2 or 3 people take the bus
I'm taking bus from this terminal to negara district at high season, but it seems no crowds at all in this bus terminal. Feel free to ask anything to anyone, no one was forcing me to take wich bus i should take.
If you are planning to take a bus here to everywhere, please buy your tickets at the counter ONLY. The touts are aplenty there, they may show you prices that is much higher than the counters may show you. They may also show you the bus that is said will bring you to your desired destination- don't fall into this trap. Just buy your bus ticket at the counter. One more thing, politeness is the best weapon to shoo these touts. The bus terminal is one of the failures of the local Balinese government in eliminating the touts. I recommend Wisata Komodo if you're traveling to Surabaya, 170k rupiah one way including a buffet meal at midnight. They have good reclining seats. Buses to Surabaya usually depart at evening around 5pm WITA and arrive at 3.30am WIB (4.30am WITA). Once again, avoid the touts and trust the counters.
Surabaya (Purabaya) terminal is muuuuch better. 🙃
Be carefull with the people in there and reseller ticket bus. Very tricky and annoying.
Not all of it is the dodgy mud track in the photos. Concrete forecourt with dozens of busses. Soon as you set foot someone asked us where we were going and took us to an Aircon regular long style bus. 70k to gilimanuk which is what we expected from online. Only a couple hawkers hanging out. There is shade, a ticket desk (we just paid on bus) and a few basic shops. A half dozen homeless looking guys on the seats. taxi rank in the far corner. Maybe 40% of the busses parked up were the sort that a timid westerner would have issue with, the old dodgy looking sort.
Wouldn't hesitate to use this spot to get around, bit was worried from other reviews so maybe I just got lucky.
Beware!! Don't go there, this is a warning. Lots tourists were intimidated by gangs there to board an extremely expensive minibus to Kuta/Sanur. Unless you are willing to pay 350 thousand Rups ($30) then this place must be avoided at all cost. The gangs may force you to pay or snatch your belonging, if you you do not comply then they may stab you in the spot. Unload at Tabanan or any place before Ubung. The gov is unable to handle this place. This place is a bad spot for Bali tourism. Been there and done that!
Know as exactly as possible how much your ticket should cost and where exactly you should get within how many you before getting there since plenty of people will try badly to rip you off if you are a foreigner.
Go sure to have plenty of time to be able to talk to many BUS DRIVER and you should get an OK deal.
Between provinces bus terminal..from bali island to java or lombok..and also for around the regency in Balialmost 24 hours busses always ready here..
Clean & Safe bus station, near denpasar
Important and the biggest bus terminal in Bali. Clean and with many options for traveling.
A big bus terminal connecting buses from another cities and provinces. Busy enough.
It's a small station, normal in Bali pay attention of real price of the ticket
So messy to come latenight, many people/agency offering many transportation like taxi, mini bus, etc. But be smart to bargaining and decide which transport do you take if you dont want spent a higher prices
Ok
It's always hot here when waiting as there are only plenty trees around. Be ready to pay parking retribution at the exit once you enter (even not parking!)
Be careful, tidak aman
Be carefull for scam and always bargaining!
Huft
The only good thing about Ubung bus station are the busses leaving Ubung bus station, and even then some of those busses are just about passable. :D Expect taxis to want fixed fees from Ubung to tourist hotpots (e.g. Kuta). Cost should be about 80k between the two +/- depending on traffic. Traffic can be extreme at times. Like any bus station, Ubung is full of hustlers, chancers and cheaters always a good haggle process to be had.
Busnya sekarang banyak yang lama berangkatnya
85 rb dr Terminal Ubung ke Jember, jangan lupa beli minuman di alfamart depan terminal Ubung hehehe..
