This is the best place on the beach , i was here ( in the beach restaurants) one week and on the third evening i find this restaurant , the food is very delicious, they have the best program ( another restaurants have very simple program , here is the best )
On the first line near to the sea all tables is very beautiful with two candles and special asian umbrellas .I recomed

Well overpriced. If taxi driver bring you here, this is only because they are familly(like mafia) not because it is good place to eat. We stay for 14 days in Hard Rock hotel which is considered as one of most expensive and food her in restaurant is much move expensive. This price for what ? In menu you can see "fresh orange juce" which is far from being fresh and being orange, just cheap drink from market.
Fresh sea food ? I will doubt !
Table was cleaned by a woman by her hand and old tissue from table who someone left after finishing food.
Balinese service is usualy good and you are served with good manner, but not here !
If you dig deeper you can see 5 stars only given by locals(taxi drivers I believe) just to bump total rate up.
Just go somewhere else.

Awesome place to enjoy seafood. Whether grilled or soup. My advise is, come here at noon. You can enjoy the sun goes down accompanied by delicious food. And the food is also fried.
You pick the fish, shrimp, crab, lobster (all seafood) right from the aquarium. And what you pick is what you got. The chef will cook that seafood for you as per your request.

The main entrance is not that appealing but the food served on the beach was just awesome.
We have a selection of live crabs, lobsters and other kinds of sea food

The food was good, with the bali interior in the hall. And the sunset view from outdoor venue was amazing.
Best time to come is at 5 pm, so you can save a table in the outdoor venue.
Cons: quite pricey for a seafood.

Service was horrendous, sat down on beach then told I had to go back to front of restaurant to order fish, then they were out of things and only had large fish. Ended up with fried rice. Extremely disappointing. If tip was not included they would not have gotten one from me.

It's a nice place with nice view, but foodwise for the price you can get more that it's worth, im suggesting come here if you want to enjoyed sunset with a drink and you can find food elsewhere.

Best part about this restaurant is the view. We has a beach table with a view of the sunset.
Food was ok. Staff didn't really seem that interested after seating you down. You have to order inside the resturant rather than from your table which seemed strange. Cats are everywhere!

I've been coming to Jimberan for 20 yrs now and every time I come back I'm less impressed. I've also been coming to New Mon cafe for a few years now; the food was ok the grilled calamari was chewy the fried version was greasy the grilled fish was dry however the clams were excellent. The Prawns were tasty but mushy (maybe because they're not as fresh or sat in water for too long). The whole meal was expensive for what we ate and the service was slow and forgetful not to mention the bumper to bumper traffic there and back! Only local wines were available unfortunately.

I was taken here by our driver after specifically saying that we don’t eat seafood. I was advised that there were other foods available. We got a beach spot, but they had raked up the huge amounts of rubbish from the ocean/beach into large piles, and one pile was right in front of the table. Including a dirty nappy. You couldn’t get down to the beach from the restaurant without stepping through rubbish. There were feral cats all around, even in the restaurant. Nobody wanted to serve you, and I felt like I was waiting around all the time. There was no food on the menu except seafood. But they said they had other menu items. I was told I could order fries, and nuggets for the kids. The nuggets were disgusting and the kids would not eat them. When I tried one, I spat it out too. Tasted worse then the cheapest, nastiest nuggets you can get back home. And the kids had about 10 small fries on their plate. I wasn’t told the price, and there was no menu for non-seafood.

All up it cost me 481,000 RP for 2 orange juices (which tasted off), 1 Bintang, 1 small plate of fries and 2x nuggets. Ridiculously expensive for poor food and slow service. I could have gotten cheaper at my 5 star resort which is very expensive in its own right being a chain brand.

*30mins since i left the restaurant, my stomach is feeling a little weird.

Advise: please check restaurant review before entering. Dont stay quite, give the driver a good restaurant name and address or else he will take to a place like 'new moon cafe'. All drivers get a cut from your restaurant bill.

Had a very bad experience. Me and my husband went to this restaurant for our anniversary dinner but were extremely disappointed.
Food is overpriced, place is very dirty, the cutleries were not clean and stray cat running around everywhere. On top of that the food was not good as well, crab was not cooked and smelly and the fish was not scaled and too bland. Paid so much but didnt even finish the food, all we wanted to do was just leave.

I don't think they are honest in weighing the fresh seafood. One squid at your hand size is weighed 0.9 kg, one grouper fish approx. 20 cm is 1 kg, etc.
Not to mention they charge it at high price (prawn IDR450k or $33, grouper IDR350k or $25).
I am a fresh-seafood lover, have experienced in weighing fishes as I also shop them for home cooking. My sister shared similar concern on weighing and price.

Food was below ordinary! Excessively expensive and staff were rude. We paid more than Australian prices and we still had stray cats walking through the restaurant. Cocktails were strong and straight out of the 80's. Do not bother with this place.

The food is very tasty and they probably make good money with it.
We paid 1.1 m for a 2kg Chilli Crab, 1 kg Red Snapper, Sides, Beer and Water (incl service charge and tax).
Service was fine, clean to what you would expect but not more.

Horrible experience - our driver took us there and we were ushered in quickly to a table by the beach. The staff were friendly but the place looked extremely unclean and the table was just cleaned with a used napkin, they kept asking us to order food. We figured out what was going on and we left immediately and found a beautiful resteraunt just up the road from watermark. When it came to calling our driver to come get us from the other cafe, he was very angry at us. He asked why didn't we tell him that we didn't eat there - he told us that they have contracts with the resteraunt and they get parking and a cut of your final bill and because we didn't eat there, he had a massive drama with security and now he can't go back and it's bad for his business.

BE CAREFUL - It was unhygienic, it's a scam to get you to eat at particular resteraunts that the driver has contracts with. If you end up not eating at that place, tell the driver immediately.

Amazing, tasty and fresh seafood, located on the beach! You just have to enjoy it, with the sound of the waves around! And there was a show when we arrived, but I think it was the end. A bit sad as I like so much these barong dances!

Food was good and fresh. Our driver recommended this place and booked reservations for us. Cost was $250,000 IDR per person for a big plate of seafood (shrimp, lobster and fish) and pop drink included. Plate was big and we couldn't finish it all. Great sunset view with love Balinese dance show :)

DO NOT GO HERE. I don't care how good your taxi driver says it is or how much he recommends it. Don't get talked into it in exchange for free transportation. In fact, if you're not staying in Jimbaran, don't even bother. We went to Jimbaran for a good sunset. The sunset was good, but would've been better somewhere else where there isn't 10,000 other people around. The driver recommended this place because they offer free transportation back to your hotel. That's because the taxis are literally in contract with the restaurant (we asked another driver). New moon can afford to do it due to their outrageous prices and crap food. This place is the definition of a tourist trap. AVOID.

We hired a driver for the half day and we ended up here. As some of the other reviewers have said, the place was over priced and the food was unremarkable. I expect our driver got a kick back for delivering us here and we didn't have much option to go anywhere else . Beware of taxi / tours charging less than you would expect.. they are making the money up elsewhere !

Don't go here. Our taxi/tour guide took us here and kicked up a fuss when we said we didn't want to eat here. we eventually agreed -to our disappointment. Very expensive. 1 crab cost 21 GBP and barely had any crab meat on it. The food was OK but not worth the price paid.
The plus side - we had a great view of the sunset from here.

I want to give less than 1 star but there is no less mark here.

The food is crap here and too pricy, one seafood platter can cost you over USD100. And the environment is lousy too. Too dark (which you are difficult to see your food until you eat it)

Better walk away immediately if you happened to get in this restaurant
