This is the place for aaaaall the jeeps to watch the sunrise over bromo and the sea of sand. The view is very nice, it's also super crowded.
Better you go to another viewpoint little bit lower than that one, but the view is just as amazing. On Google maps that one is called "Penanjakan 1".
Big plus- it's not that crowded so you can really enjoy it instead of being annoyed by all the people ruining your pictures and blocking your view ;)

I recommended this place for those people who loved hiking. Beautiful views. We can't go to this place using normal vehicle, we must rent a jeep to this place.

I would say lovely view but when I was there I saw only clouds :). We wasn't lucky for sunrise that day. But i believe it's beautiful there.

A heavenly place above the clouds where you can see the golden sky, fading sunset, and Mount Bromo volcanic ashes floated in the sky. I was trembling with excitement and couldn’t stop smiling to see how amazing the late twilight!

Great place to see the sunrise. We were unlucky with cloudy morning. If you got the space and time plan according to weather reports

Popular tourist spot to catch the sunrise and greet vistas of the mountains below as well as the active volcano, get the early and have patience as it gets really crowded

Incredible. No other words. Top 5 sunrises I've seen. You need to fight your way to have a clean view, but definitely worth it!

Get there early to get the best spot, and for less walking to and from the jeep to the view point. Very cold in the early morning, winter clothing is sufficient for those few hours. The clear view is subject to the weather and how active Bromo spews the steam and ashes

Amazing view of sunrise as well as great view of Mt. Bromo with Mt. Semeru on the background. This viewpoint might get very crowded in weekends and in holiday seasons. Small coffee shops are easy to find nearby.

OK the view is nice if you have the chance to see it. For Sunrise be ready to face the crowd. Probably you won't see anything at all because it is too crowded.

Beautiful view at sunrise. However it is claustrophobically crowded. If you want to see Bromo at sunrise, camp out at the railing at least at 4:30, around centre or slightly t o the right of the center.
