I stayed for 2 weeks in here. Kinda lovely hotel, complete amenities, but dislike the security as he always checked me everytime I went back to hotel. Well, that was for safety, but kinda annoying.

Been stayed here 2 times. They served me well. I love the room especially the bed and bathroom design. One thing i cannot forget from this hotel is the room fragrance! It's so lovely and quite relaxing. I love the pool, spa and also the gym. But maybe they should offer more variant menu for the resto. This hotel is one of my fav hotel in makassar :)

The room is nice and the hotel location is also nice. Close to the famous beach in Makassar and few recreational places and super nice restaurants.

The thing is they have super weird elevator that when I came in, I couldnt open the elevator and the the staff said it didnt work but we went up and down with the elevator. When I was in the 20th floor and wanted to go to my room, once the door is closed, the elevator will automatically go down to the ground floor if you don’t push any button. I was late to scan my card and it went all the way down to ground floor. I have to hold the elevator door, scan the card and then push the button to get to how normal elevator works.

For the bar at 20th floor, I am still wondering why the smoking area is in air-conditioned room and non-smoking is outside. It is kinda annoying and the smell is awful when you sit down there for about an hour. Should manage the bar better.

Another thing is, I was with my friend who’s a foreigner and couldn’t speak bahasa. My friend asked a staff and the staff tend to look at me and speak to me rather than reply my friend (maybe they are thinking Im a local so it is easier to talk with local language while I myself isnt a local).

I think it is rude to behave like that. Once someone talk to you, rather than looking at other people to speak local language, it is way better to ask an apology or give an explanation first to the guy who ask you if you are not able to speak english. This can lead to misunderstanding.

Other than that, they have nice place to chill at the 18th floor. Should go there and enjoy the sunset.

Make sure the do not disturb sign is NOT on when you leave for the day. Mine had been on since I checked in, I assumed it was so that the house keeping staff doesn't have to do the room.

And when you ask them to clean the room after you get back, they don't restock the minibar.

Hot water isn't hot in the morning.

Also, the front desk people were Not intelligent enough to be able to give you a business receipt or even proof of stay. And then they try to not give you any proof of refund on your deposit that they requested up front.

If you were promised free minibar, it consists of 1 candy bar and 3 cans of soda plus two bottles of tea. And it is only valid for the first night

A bit spacious, air-conditioning works great, hot shower and free simple mini-bar is a plus. The cleanliness of wardrobe, floors and lines could be improved. The receptions and doorman's could be more friendly. Bad signal in almost all channels on TV.

A 4 stars hotel with excellent services. Rooms rate are included mini bar swimming pool, sauna, etc. The VIP Lounge is excellent, enjoy the afternoon tea with sunset view from the top. That was amazing during my emtire stay in Melia Hotel Makassar.

Clean hotel. The service was good. They serve local food like pallu mara and another local food at breakfast buffet. You can try local foods near the hotel too. There are a lot of stalls and depot around. Right after you get out of the hotel there are nasi kuning, Siomay, bubur ayam, nasi campur. So don't worry about your lunch and dinner.

I am here for business trip stay at room 1007 from Sep 17-19, 2017. This hotel having good sky resto on top floor, their people is also so friendship, they have good food for breakfast but not so many variant. The bad is their shower unstable that are sometimes very hot sometimes not too hot. Suggest management to fix it.

The staff was friendly and the facility is awesome. They got fitness centre, swimming pools and sauna at the 5th floor. They also got rooftop bar which is definitely a nice place to hang out. The room was also spacious and they got great selection of channels. Definitely will stay again👌🏼

I spent two nights, it's truly unique due to unrivaled lication for being the most unique buildings in the city if makassar with 21 floors and the first classified as urban city.

Nice, still new (since mid 2016) and clean, bright room lighting, good quality interior and fittings. The breakfast is a better quality than that of 4-star Ast** hotel in Makassar.
Downsides : porch design is too small to accomodate 2-3 incoming cars, only 2 lifts available which causes a long waiting time.
