Manta Dive was great - did the Explore Scuba Diving - best introduction course we have Had so far - Dive was great, excellent instructor and saw plenty of sea turtles! They also do regular Beach Cleanup Trips with anybody who wants to Join in! Mostly international Staff, overall great experience

Great facilities, clean & very well maintained.
Value for money.
What I found its best feature was the staff. Polite, courteous, but more importantly they were engaging. Happy to share info about their daily lives, family & culture.
If you are going to this paradise island ( Gilli T ) I strongly recommend Manta Dive

Passed our Open Water Course Diving and we are really happy that we made it with Manta. Very professional instructur and professional equipment. We feel like a home here, because they are very friendly. We stay at their hotel also, the room is clean and comfortable. The breakfast is very good. The location is very good, just around 100 meters from the port so you just need to walk to reach Manta. Definitely will come back!!!

Manta dive is a great place to dive. Very professional and efficient. Most of all the entire Manta team are amazing, very funny and friendly. I would highly recommend diving with Manta dive and the accommodation is awesome. Ask for Mull and Emet as dive masters for fun diving.

Ready to dive in the deep blue ?
A safe way to get your open water is with @wanderingherb ( Jared ) at @mantadivegilit ( Manta Dive Gili Trawangan )

We spent one week my wife and I at Manta Dive Gili Trawangan to get the SSI Open Water and with no hesitations we really recommend this place to you!

Everything here is as it should berooms are awesome ( ours was n.14 ) looks new and definitely clean with all facilities you need, long swimming pool to relax between 2 dives ;) a pool bar, a restaurant to give you all the energy you will need for very affordable prices, the dive shop, the pool for technical trainings.
All scuba diving equipments are in very good conditions, instructors are very professionals and very friendly ( our instructor was the super famous Jaredthanks for your patience Jared )

Special Thanks to you guys for your patience and professionalism, you rock !

Extra thanks to Tom, Jared, Kevin, Anna, Magic, Mul, Bom-Bom, Basil, Oli, and to all manta staffeverything was perfect!

Unfortunately I did not stay or dive with Manta Dive, but I did have the opportunity to meet Ben. On one of our dives with another operator, my wife's Canon G12 camera ceased taking pictures. It was in an underwater housing so when we surfaced and dried the housing off we took the camera out of the housing and it did not make a difference. Being very disappointed, my wife inquired about a camera shop or a dive operator that rented underwater cameras. She was told to see Ben at Manta Dive. As it turned out, he had the same canon model as my wife and he said that he would lend it to her. We wanted to at least give him something for rental but he refused. My wife used his camera,on our next dive,and all,was well. When we returned his camera he still would not accept anything for rental. I feel that Ben went beyond what many would do and my wife was 100% happy that her problem was taken,care of with the help,of Ben. If we ever get back to Gili T I will definitely book my dives with Manta because of Ben and his caring. That is why the 5 star rating.

Stumbled across Manta Dive when we first arrived on Gili T and I’m so glad we did! Fantastic experience all round - the villas are lovely, clean & well serviced, the pool area is great, the bar staff are really fun, and the food is delicious (breakfast, lunch & dinner!). Also if you have never been diving before then this is the place to try it! We had the lovely JJ take us for a session in the pool followed by our first dip into the ocean, and as soon as we came up to the surface we booked the next day to do it again. The whole Manta experience made our time on Gili!

Review for RESORT Only:
Very beautiful bungalow in Asian style with western finish. Great beds, big outdoor bathroom (loved it despite my initial worries about higiene, mosquitos etc). Extremely cozy bungalows. Perfect location, great breakfast and friendly staff.
However!
This resort has the slowest internet connection encountered on any trip so far (if it connects at all) The staff was very friendly and got in contact with the provider, but this would not help, and according to previous reviews this seems to be a known problem. Other hotels and restaurants provide good internet services and I think that for the price of this hotel such a basic feature should not fail
As we were not on Gili to be online 24/7 this was not a problem, but should you need good internet access for any reason do not chose this place.
Also, the first night the pillows had slight bloodstains on them, however this was taken care of the next day without our need to intervene.

So, all in all a totally recommendable place, perfect location, great staff and breakfast, only loses one star to a very simple feature, the internet

Tried my first time diving here. We checked two other diving shops and decided to select it because Manta is very professional and also offers Chinese speaking trainer, which is required by my Chinese friend, to avoid any language issue. Sue, the trainer, is very professional and dedicated. I accidentally made a fatal mistake during the dive by dismissing my breath equipment at 6 meters under the sea and my trainer saved my life.
I enjoyed the diving course, we saw sea snake, sea turtle and also baby shark. It's a nice experience. You also can contact the trainer from WeChat: billiefruit

Excellent accomodation, very helpful staff, exceptional shared pool, delicious breakfast daily. Very central. A must stay on Gili Trawangan, especially if you plan on diving. Will be back in 2019. Stay in Bungalo 8 if you can: superb.

Me and my girlfriend both stayed and dived at Manta dive for a few days and it was great. Room was clean and well decorated. It had a cool bathroom that is outside but mainly.covered though left you showering under the stars. It has great facilities for diving with easy going instructors and some great dive sites. All in all a top experience

Totally ruined my holidays. They took us to 2 bombed crappy places so I stopped diving because it was so crappy. Then I heard that there is also nice places that actually has a lot of cool stuff. Wow, that ruined the holiday. Go with a provider who knows where to go. Sharks point and Bounty was the crappy ones. I heard turtle and malang are very nice.

I asked them if if I could take the last boat and they said yes no problem 6pm. On the other side was 20 mafia guys waiting to screw me over. The locals did not dare to talk to these thugs and I had to pay overprice to get a car.
Do not take this port and certainly not after 4 pm.

Honestly? BAD CHOICE, if you see other offers around, with more attention, more professionalism and better prices. The place is good, but the service and attention is wrong.

In my case, arrival to the resort after book one traditional bungalow, after arrival the bungalow is not ready, and need wait 2 hours. After this when entry to the bungalow the AC is not running, outside 34 degrees and inside maybe 40. Ask to the crew and say "is not possible change until 6pm" can't believe? Stay at the street until 6pm??? For what I pay this day?

After this, at 7pm change for other "normal room" not traditional bungalow and the nightmare continues the service need 3,5 hours for clean the room; 10:30 to 1PM you believe?

Next day, forget replace the towels and not replacing the water.

Well, for this I think is not one good choice this resort.

P.D. the breakfast is OK.

fantastic divers spot, good hotel (for my stay i choose lumbung), great service. Gili Trawangan has one of the most amazing beaches that I've ever seen. If you're looking for fun, you'll definitely can find something in here.

This place is amazing, come here!
Here's why:
-staff is resort quality, they will do anything to make your stay better.
-dive instructors speak tons of languages, "we speak your language" is what is on the sign.
-dive sites are good and perfect for beginners. Gentle current diving and tons of sea life!

Oh! And the rooms are reasonably priced, bungalows are brand new, and the place is centrally located About 30 meters south from the "ferry terminal".

If you are experienced, make sure to request a local guide. Enthusiastic guys, good English, will find you almost any type of creature under the water.

One dive: 3 sharks (small ones ~1 meter), 5 turtles, 1 cuttlefish, 4 nudibranches, and tons more! Make sure to tip the local guys, they will love you forever!

Oh, food is good, booze is reasonable, and 1 final time, the hotel and dive staff are superb!

I think this shop is one of the better ones. There is one really cool DM who took me out and was enjoyable to talk to. (Sorry, by now I have forgotten his namehe is an American guy! This dive shop, just like others, is really busy also. It is an Organized chaos though! ;-) (try taking the first boat out, less bussy.
