The private beach was beautiful, something you cannot see in Massachusetts. The reason I gave 4 stars for this hotel, is that staff would never come to your room for air conditioning problem unless you haven't called them for 4 times. If this is improven, I'd give this hotel a straight 5 stars. Overall, outstanding performance.

Room is nice. Large bed and sofa. Bathroom is odd, with glass doors to both the shower and toilet for limited privacy when using the toilet. Location seems pretty good with a private beach for hotel guests as well as many pools to swim at. The concierge helps us with booking tours and excursions. The taxi rates seem somewhat high, but I'm not sure. The breakfast buffet is awesome

Nice interior and design. Beach and landscape is good. We stayed at a room with a little pool at the back. I don't know if it is only us, but had some doubts about the cleanliness of the sheets. We had our reservation bed and breakfast and breakfast was fine. It looks the families with children also prefers the location although it is not a family hotel.

The hotel is pure awesomeness. We stayed with our 2 kids and we were all really impressed with the place. The food, the beach, the pool and bar, all top notch.

The rooms are really big, there’s also the option to have a room with an exit directly into the pool, which is huge. You can have drinks in the pool since it’s nicely connected to the bar.

All the staff are extremely nice, and we didnt have any problems.

I would really recommend the hotel to anyone staying in Bali.

Staying at Sofitel was a wonderful experience. The kid's pool with the slide kept the little ones entertained all day. The entire garden is actually a pool with paths leading across. I've never seen anything like this in my life. It was nice to chill by the pool, enjoy drinks and eat delicious food.
The place is huge, it must be very hard to keep everything running smoothly, but the management is doing a great job!

    The good.

    Staff - excellent
    Hotel - lovely
    Pool - superb
    Rooms - very good

    The bad.

Pneumatic drill around the pool ALL DAY EVERY DAY!!!! Maintenance, pay all this money to listen to that.
Everything is plus, plus. plus 10% service then plus 11% government tax expect to pay close to $25AU for a small Bintang and a glass of wine, $25AU for a burger.

    WONT BE BACK.

Fabulous resort and villa - a dream space to relax and forget about work. Service is fantastic and the food is perfect. Like any resort, prices are more expensive that outside Like for a massage - however still cheaper than AUS or EU etc and you definitely get better service and treatments. Also has free flowing alcohol at happy hour. I would love to see a 'dance club' or 'bar' destination for younger party goers Pool is beautiful and views are fantastic

I travel fairly extensively for work and I must say this was the best experience I've had at a hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and more than helpful. From the moment of check in where you are greeted until after you checkout you will not experience kinder people. I was given a choice to upgrade to a pool access room at check-in and it was well worth it. I will definitely be returning again hopefully sooner rather than later.

A perfect honeymoon spot. The variety of spots to get food and drinks is astounding. It is a bit on the pricey side, but definitely worth it. The pool is fantastic and the wait staff will serve you at the poolside throughout the day, provided it's not too busy. During busier times, it's better to take a stroll (or a swim) to the bar.

They have pool access from some rooms which was interesting, and plunge pools in others.

The beach is very pretty, but not great for swimming. Walking down a bit further, the beach gets nicer, but the pool is so lovely, we didn't even bother.

The decor of the hotel is so beautiful. A nice mix of Balinese and European

Sofitel was nice and checked all the boxes.

Some things were amazing and others fairly disappointing.

The check in process was simple and quick. We were greeted in our room by 2 small cakes, one for our anniversary and the other my wife’s birthday. (I told them all this in an email in advance). Nice touch.

In addition we were told we were chosen as guest of the day and would receive a free 3 course meal. Wow, awesome :) the dinner was great and we only had to pay for drinks.

Our room had a private pool which was awesome. The staff were all very efficient, but you know you’re in a big resort and feel like more of a number than a smaller hotel. The rooms are starting to get a little old in terms of decor and fittings. But not bad at all, just an observation.

The breakfast which we paid for in advance was great. But the service wasn’t, in particular with regard to tea and coffee. Often taking 20 to 30 mins and arriving cold. Tables stood dirty for ages preventing the next wave of guests for getting into breakfast quickly.

We had a pleasant stay, but found in particular the drinks to be very overpriced when compared to other establishments in the area.

Well the service is fantastic ! First of all when you pull up the entrance the hotel is fresh, modern and striking! It's not too garish or overdone. The decor is A++. Probably the most beautiful part is the foyer overlooking the gardens and beach. What an amazing vista, it's breathtaking and superb really. Downside is the cost of drinks in this foyer. I mean, hello. It's Bali. The main pool area I felt the layout is a bit awkward. The room was beautiful but my room was at the back with a private pool and it was too cold to go swimming in.

We stay at Sofitel during 2 nights and it was simply amazing. All the staff were lovely and can't do enough to make you feel welcome. The bed was extremely comfortable as were the pillows. Very clean and amenities were great. The bathroom was well appointed and the servicing of the room was impeccable. The restaurants were also very good. Cucina was our favorite place to eat .The breakfast buffet was incredible, with a huge variety of food. It's simply amazing with all of the different stations and hubs to visit. The pool was set out beautifully and the lounges are so comfortable. There is a small kids pool area that keeps the kids occupied and next to that is the kids club. The spa treatments were divine. We pretty much had one every single day. Overall, an excellent resort to stay in Nusa Dua!

We spend a couple of days at Sofitel Nusa Dua and we had an amazing time.

From the lovely room, the massive swimming pool to the incredible Balinese Massage at the Spa we couldn't be happier with our overall experience.

The buffet breakfast is delicious and the Steak at Cucina was one of the best ones I have ever had.

My top pick for a relaxing getaway in Southern Bali.

We came for a wedding and spent most of our 5 day trip on property with our kids. We loved the pool with all the little nooks and crannies to explore. The beach is fantastic too. We had catered food so it wasn't the best but hoping to give it another go tonight.

I was greeted by very friendly bellmen and was ushered to the club to check in, the welcome drink and cold towel was a great experience. I have not seen a more beautiful property with such friendly staff. The food was all amazing and happy to have access to a 24 hour restaurant. Everything from the bedtime tea to the pool access made the stay so much better. When it was time to check out and I needed a place to shower and change before my red eye, the hotel prepared a room for my wife and I to use.

Eventually when we got the desired room it was better. However, My partner was very disappointed due to being ignored my some Hotel Staff. It seems difficult to book the desired room type as description is vague. Thus had to upgrade room to obtain correct room. Original room has loungers partially covered overshadowed by the bushes which questions the point of them being there. The Plunge pool is a small pool that perhaps would have been better made a Jacuzzi instead. This can avoid confusion with "pool Access" rooms. Room also had mosquitoes(Dengue) which started as soon as we arrived. Some Hotel staff constant attempt to use French becomes grating after a while. Have Stayed in other hotels on this holiday and feel for the price charged that this hotel is lacking behind the others. This was a fact finding stay and while I feel the staff provided good service (apart from ignoring my partner) it does not balance so will not be staying again for my next trip.

The experience was very enjoyable overall.. The staff we saw regularly for meals were very helpful, attentive and friendly, especially Mega, Anna and Budy; you are fortunate to have them. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and polite. For safety reasons the light needs to be improved when crossing the bridges in the evening/night. Someone could easily have a fall unless they are very careful.
In the room there is nowhere to empty the tea leaves if one likes using the teapot. Perhaps tea bags are a better option or a lined bin. Also, It is not clear whether one has to wash the cups, etc because this needs to be done at the basin and there is nothing to dry with.

The resort was nice - mainly modern with hints of Indonesian architecture. The breakfast buffet was amazing - and the service was good (but sometimes slow). We met one notable employee, Margaux, who was exceptional. She spoke many languages, was fast, very pleasant, and professional. She made our experience great. The restaurants were also lovely and the pool was great. Nusa Dua, however, is far from the action in Seminyak and Kuta.

While I am stay, half of the level were in construction, very noisy, dirty and bother without any notice before your stay; we had claim with the reception, however, they were so haughty and did NOT making any change!! The room's tube is always stuck, water coming very cold and suddenly very hot, I am almost got hurt! As an Accor member, hotel should provide late checkout, but NOT. Had write down my claim to reception, but the manager did not reply at all! Feel so sad about this stay!
But I need to say, the restaurant in this hotel were really NICE, especially the breakfast and all you can eat lunch! And very nice swimming pool as well!

The experience was amazing: great service, atmosphere, nice food, incredibly nice staff and efficient. On the new year eve the hotel organised an amazing party - excellent firework/world class! I give all the credit to their management and staff!! I'll certainly go there again if I go to Bali.
    Well done!!

Really nice rooms, decent breakfast and very friendly and fast service. They have a small kiddie pool with a slide and kids activities room. Beach is nice, though the sand is a bit rough and there are lots of corals so you have to thread slowly when you get into the sea. Otherwise a perfectly great hotel.

Best ever Hotel I have ever been!! The staff were awesome! The hotel itself was breathtaking. I have stayed at many 5 star hotels, and myself work for an Accor 5 star hotel, but this is at another level! The Sunday Brunch! Words cannot describe how good that was!!!! Even if you are not going to stay here, you need to visit for the views and book yourself a table for the Sunday Brunch!

Perhaps one of the best hotel & resort in Nusa Dua area.

The staff was very polite, friendly, and very helpful. Two thumbs up for them!

I stayed in the Luxury Room, the room was spacious, luxurious, and had a huge bathtub with great interior. It has a balcony with swinging chair and free wifi around the hotel area.

You can swim in the pool, go sunbathing at the private beach or cycling around the beach (bike rent Rp 65,000/2 hours).

For family with kids, the resort provide kids corner :)

The food was excellent!! Great buffet breakfast!

A great place for relaxing and refreshing your mind. I really had a memorable experience and looking forward to come again to Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua.

From 1 to 10, Sofitel get 10 from me

Wonderful luxury resort with a fresh touch. Great architecture and decor, friendly and professional staff-all as expected from Accour group. Disappointed that we couldn't add points to our Accour miles as we booked through an internet agent, I'd like to suggest that bookings through agents get at least 50-70% points in the future.
Kids club was full with mostly under 5s so our 7&9 yo were quite bored there. Kids pool is also aimed at very little ones.

    Overpriced
    Cons:
Bathroom door, it's sliding, heavy, noisy, no lock
Shower, water not too strong meh
Apperantly nobody in the front office I got sick here, called the front office for like forever and nobody pick up. When I'm checking out, call the front office and same thing happened people can seriously die in there.
    Pros:
    Internet speed
    Spectacular buffet
Direct access to beach n nice pool

Such a very bad experience in a expensive hotel.. We arrive at 1 o'clock and must wait for the room to get ready.. They didn't tell us how long it took.. And in the end we wait until 2 and half hour! Amazing! It's my first bad experience when check-in in 5 star hotel.. I stay at suite president room for 3 nights.. And it quite far from lobby.. And for my last night here, my key didn't work.. I can't enter my room.. And i bring heavy stuff with me that's why quite hard to go back to lobby with all the stuff.. That's why i search the hotel worker but no one there.. And i try to call sofitel phone number, but it didn't work! So i must go to lobby with all the stuff.. Usually in big hotel at least there must be 1 or 2 worker that stay wandering around to see if there something problem.. Or at least put phone outside so we can easily contact the operator or reception, because the phone number that they put in internet didn't work.. Such a good hotel with bad management :(

Relatively new hotel, only 1+year old. If you want to explore local "traditional" Balinese scene there are few better options in Nusa Dua area. If you're into luxury and modern lavish French/Bali elegance, this is it.
Friendly staff, very very helpful butler, yes the hotel provide butler service for suite&villa guest.
Best buffet breakfast ever!!! Believe me, we went to Bali every year and this is by far the best buffet breakfast we had in Bali. So book your room with breakfast. The club also serve breakfast, but make sure you go to KWEE ZEEN. We also had dinner there, cost around US$30/person.

Sofitel also provide complimentary internet, very good connection around the hotel, even at the beach still got 4 bars, so if you must be online all the time, this is the hotel for you.

Few downside: there are 2 Samsung 46" TVs in room, one with bad reception, the other one doesn't work properly, also the $5,000 high-tech toilet also broken. (Hotel management did offered us to move to another room, but we chose to stay because of the view).

Sofitel was wonderful and the staff was extremely hospitable when using the facilities at the resort. The only complaint was with the tour company we used through the hotel, Smailing. The tour guide dropped us off at a loud, noisy restaurant with disgusting food and drunk people shouting everywhere on the beach. NOT the nice quiet seaside dinner my mother and I were expecting when we booked the tour with the concierge. I even asked several times if it was a nice, quiet seaside dinner at a reputable restaurant and was PROMISED it was. The restaurant had to drive us back to the resort because the tour guide left us there. The taxi was filled with smoke and bursting with dance club music. I complained to the concierge and the tour company manager. NOTHING was done to remedy the experience, nor did we receive any money back. That is horrible customer service and we got nothing out of it except a tiny apology. That was our last night in Nusa Dua and it was ruined for us. The tour company took my older mother and I for our last mother-daughter dinner to a rowdy, dirty place and left us there. Absolutely inappropriate on behalf of Sofitel and the Smailing Tour company to not offer any reimbursement or formal apology after we paid a lot of money.

Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort made our stay! Beyond beautiful, grand and uplifting, with spacious rooms, excellent service.
We stayed at the pool access room - it was absolutely lovely, the rooms are cozy, spacious and comfortable.
The service from all the staff was perfect - a great balance between the formality that befitted the wonderful environment whilst being friendly and welcoming too!
The breakfast and dinner was superb. There was everything you could have wanted, and if there wasn't, all you had to do was ask. I only wish we had more room in our stomachs too sample everything!
