Good place to exchange your money around Central Jakarta while enjoying the mall. Friendly staff. Nice place even it's quite small. Would go back here again. Anyway for the exchange rate is similar to the other places around.

They tried to make up ridiculous excuses to give a lower rate like their other branch in Grand Indonesia by saying there's a tiny crease in the dollar. Even when in great shape.

I used them and other money changers in Jakarta, Bali, and through out Asia in recent years with them immediately accepting the money. Apparently this greedy trend started in recent months as a way to screw people over. Possible targeting only foreigners, because I had seen an older local woman have her USD immediately taken like they used to do.

As a result I've dramatically cut back spending to spend my money in other Asian countries instead, considering scraping my future travel plans in the country, and telling my friends that were unsure to visit Indonesia to avoid coming while this absurd practice is going on. The economy will and ought to suffer as a result of this.

I recommend to REFUSE THEIR BUSINESS and tell them why, warn others, shop around money changers during daytime weekdays when competition is at its peak, and leave negative reviews online for any place doing this.
