HINT VIILA 1 or 2 are perfect position with beach, ocean, pool, restaurant views from your spacious balcony. DONT stay here if you are avoiding stairs. DO - Diversity Padi Dive Shop in the reception is AWESOME, from try divers to all the courses. DO - eat in rrestaurant- HINT - order Kerrys Favorite Balinese Spicy Fresh Fish. STAFF - so helpful, nothing is too much trouble.

    1. The room is big and comfortable or a cheap price! The decoration were rather old 80's-90's-ish but were luxurious at that era. Lots of bugs (typical for tropical climate hotel, get on with it the won't do anything to you).
    2. No phone or TV, the WiFi range were really limited, front office and restaurant is where you could find them. Also no kitchen inside.
    3. The services. Hospitality pretty nice, the staff are nice and polite. They'll always offer you for a snorkeling or diving trip (pretty much what any hotel staff would do) baut the beat season to go diving or snorkeling is sometimes around June to August (during dry season), the price might went up though.
    4. The pool. It's directly before the sea! Even though it's rather small for crowdy bunch, but it's still pretty nice. The stairs might be slippery so be careful.
    5. The food. Not so much, but not bad either. For budget travellers might want to try the babi guling around the place or sate ayam(before the coast, some where near the rice fields). I didn't look around for vegetarian food around at that time.
    6. Location. It's quite near the snorkeling spot actually, and just few minutes from the famous Amed cliff (Google it, the one with bar and stuff) and Amed bay.

Overall, it's suitable for budget travellers, not so far from atm, convenient store and bike/car rental. Aside from the limited coverage area of the WiFi, I got no complaints.

No TV and no phone in the room. When you need some help from the FO, you need to go directly.

My wife and I stayed at Double One while on a three month backpacking trip around the world. The price was great for our budget and the room and property were really nice for the price. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Renting a scooter to get around was super easy too.

We were happy with the free breakfast and wifi, but of course wifi is never that fast at places like this, haha. The pool area was great toowe even did a workout by the pool one morning. Oh, and there was hot water! Woohoo! Score!

Unfortunately when we were there the weather conditions didn't allow for snorkeling, which is a shame because that's the whole reason we even went to Amed and stayed there. Two years ago I stayed at the place next door to Double One (which was out of our price range this time) and the reef right out the back door is incredible!

I'd definitely stay there again and recommend to others.

Worst hotel I have stayed at in Bali yet. No wifi even though it said free wifi. Hundreds of ants and bugs everywhere. Not clean. Extremely rude and unhelpful staff that scream at each other before the sun comes out (5am) despite sleeping guests. No breakfast or good food anywhere near by. Any time someone in the villa uses any hot water there's an extremely annoying screeching noise that lasts for at least 10 minutes.
