This wasn't the worst hotel we've been in but the stay could have been better. The resort looked older but mostly clean. A big advantage was that it has direct access to the beach. It is quiet and relaxing and about a 20 minutes walk to the center of Lovina. During our stay, the free shuttle to Lovina center only ran once a day. If you arrive late, you will not have any option but to eat at their restaurant (Darcy's). The food at Darcy's was mediocre at best.

Our room had a constant annoying ticking sound when we used hot water. The hot water ran out fast when our next door neighbor was also showering.

We had an incident with the driver the hotel hired for us. The hotel staff quoted a price for the drive to get us to Sanur but when the driver arrived, he increased the price by 25% last minute so we had no other option. He cost us $75 CAD and kept skipping the stops we wanted to sight see. I highly recommend you find your own driver from Tripadvisor other than relying on this hotel.

For the price we paid, we had much better experiences at the other 3 hotels in Bali. I have reservation recommending his hotel to others.

Been here for 4 days (I think), food is great, a selection of Indonesian and Western dishes available at virtually any time. If you like you holiday to be quiet and relaxed, this is the place.
the rooms as you would expect are beautifully furnished and serviced daily (new pillow slips daily!). There is Darcy's next door for a more formal meal, but lazing around the pool or playing pool, listening to music or watch DVD's it's all here.
A great jumping off point for Dolphin watching, sailing, snorkeling around the nearby coral reef or one of the many Dive experiences to be had in the north of Bali.
Anyone who has visited Bali knows that the locals cannot help themselves when it comes to being of SERVICE. Everything is done simply with ease and a beautiful smile here. The staff at Dolphin Beach Apartments have provided everything we have asked for just brilliant! 10/10.
