Beautiful nature! It is so big for the eyes to see. To walk by the edge of an active volcano is not an everyday experience. Amazing. A must-go-see place!

What a great experience to see this mountain. I stayed pretty close to the mountain so we could walk on foot from our guesthouse. On the way back, there are many motortaxi that you can order to bring you back to the guesthouse. I managed to offer only 25.000 for one way. It's pretty fun yet maybe dangerous if you are afraid to run motorbike on the Sandy ground. But they are the expert so not to worry about. In the morning, there are too many people want to see the sunrise but you'll get an amazing view out there. It's cold, can reach 0 degree so be prepared. Maybe what I don't really like to walk on the sand is that it makes your shoes really dusty and dirty. I prefer the Rocky mountains

National park that have an amazing view. Jeep car is usually use to get into the top because the track is very steep and narrow. There are some place you can visit. Usually people go there to see sunrise, you need to arrive 2 or 3 hours before sunrise to get the best spot.

Its amazing, the sunrise view in Bromo crater is absolutely beautiful. If you are visiting East Java, its an absolute must to experience Bromo once. A little tips, if you want to experience sunrise in all its glory, better make sure monsoon season is over to avoid heavy fog. Bromo is definitely something you won't forget, postcard like views all around

Ada beberapa jalur lewat TNBTS. Lewat Malang, Pasuruan atau Probolinggo. Kebetulan saya orang Malang, jadi saya merasa cepat lewat Malang. Berangkat jam 12 malam mencarter jeep bromo dengan tarif 250k per orang (jumlah penumpang 7), via sawojajar-tumpang, sampai sangat cepat, sekitar 1 jam. Kita melewati 2 pos sebelum ke penanjakan.

2 years ago came here in December and we didn't catch the sunrise, came again last July and it was amazing! From the way up to the view point we're mesmerized by a sky full with beautiful stars, and i can't even describe how beautiful the sunrise was. Can i give 7 stars instead of 5?

Love this place so much. People there manage this place properly. I think they must make some more toilets because when i went there, they're a lot of people coming there (on holiday) and the toilets which near the jeep stop were full of people. So, we had to wait for more than 30 minutes to go to the toilet.

Enjoying natural mountain who have a big savana and desert too. Really beautiful for enjoying sunrise, the place is have two options for enjoying sunrise. If you want to came here, you supposed to reserve the big jeep before came here, because I got scammed once when we don't reserve ahead of time, but not every jeep driver is bad. Just collect information before came here.

I waited three hours to capture a picture of Mount Bromo in the foreground and Mount Semeru in background on a misty morning in East Java, Indonesia. Some Indonesians believe that the volcanoes are portals to a subterranean world. Heavy mists frequently roll over Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, temporarily turning the park into something more closely resembling a watercolor painting. Mount Semeru, the peak that gives the park a portion of its name, is the highest in Java at more than 12,000 feet. Bromo is in reference to Mount Bromo, the most popular mountain in the region. The “Tengger” segment of the park’s name honors the local Tengger people who live in the immediately surrounding areas.

Imagine, is this heaven? At dawn and sunrise, the expanse of white clouds blanket the ocean of sand in a very wide area around the center of the crater of Mount Bromo. It is beautiful, like a view of heaven. But this is a national park area, don't expect toilets in the desert. You can explore the sea of sand using offroad rental vehicles or horse riding. As far as the eye looks beauty.

Mt Bromo is very beautiful place to visit, the it isn't high, there is ladder to reach the top of mountain. The weather is very cold, somtimes windy. So prepare bringing jacket, socks, scarf, gloves, cap, etc to make your body warm.

You are better off doing it by yourself than going with a tour. To avoid the crowds arrive in town around noon. Settle in your accommodation. Get lunch and then walk to the Bromo crater around 2 pm. It is an easy 1 hour walk. Walk straight to towards the staircase and don't follow the road. It is shorter and you avoid the dust from cars and motorbikes. There are only few people at the crater rim in the late afternoon. Another plus is that they don't seem to charge the entry fee in the afternoon. After getting back get dinner and sleep until 3pm. Get up and go to one of the sunrise spots. Stay until the tour people are gone for more photo opportunities. Enjoy.

If you want to enjoy a piece of heaven in the world here is the place and you can taste a little smell of hell on the slopes of the crater. Try using thick jacket if you don't like cold wind here and prepare yourself before trying taking steep stair to get on the slopes of the crater. For accomodation you can get a jeep for about 40 bucks on the gate or you can take a ride with motorcycle for about 10 bucks. If you like horse ride there is also horse rental on the plateau it's about 10 bucks.

One of the best in Indonesia, the national park contains various attractions from the sand field in the crater of Bromo, the Tenggerian culture and of course Mount Semeru with its beautiful lakes of Ranupani and Ranukumbolo. The road infrastructure was a bit deteriorated during my last visit in December 2016, but still ok, really worth visiting.

Driving using motorcycle to the top of the view deck is the most fun part in visiting the Mt. Bromo Park. There are few souvenir shop and food stall in the visitors area. The climate is cooler compare to other part of East Java probably because it's higher altitude. Sunrise in this place is nice and you will be lucky if you can see the slow moving smoke from the crater. Unforgettable visit to this place last September 2014.

Incredible to be able to look into the mouth of a steaming volcano. The setting is serene and I was there in the afternoon on an overcast day. So having the mountain pretty much to myself was a surreal experience. Expect a lot of tourist traffic on the sunrise tours.but the colours and light at sunrise is said to be special. Viewpoints 1 and 2 offer really views but I was unable to see Semeru in the background.
Be ready to talk a little bit from the temple at the base to the flight of stairs (250 in all) to get to the top. And really avoid the horses that are treated so poorly.

Everyone said it's an amazing sight, especially at sunrise. The crater itself is interesting, & the locals who work their are too. But if you come from a place like western Canada's where you spend most of your time in the mountains, this one is fairly out if the way & nothing to spectacular.

Great experience to see an active volcano - worth the early morning rise and jeep ride convoy along a windy and narrow road - scenic landscape, popular with tourists - don't underestimate the climb to the top of the volcano! Warm clothing and comfortable footwear is a must!
