About 15mins walk from JW Mariott hotel to its main branch at jln kruing. Aim for the cheese rolls flavor. very lovely.

Kue bolu enakkk. My fav are blueberry and cheese hehehe. If you are first-timer, better buy the 3in1 so you can try all flavors. They also sell bika ambon, lapis, and other snacks.

Go-food-able. So far I think they have the best taste. Crowded most of the time.

It's crowded here but they had a good system for reducing waiting time, not like other cake shops which starting to be big and crowd. The taste is always great consistently.

Taste wise, it has the best bolu gulung (roll cake) hands down in town. Service wise, some improvements are required.

For those who do not mind waiting after placing an order, you have to try this one. Despite having many competitors offering very similar things, none of them could literally beat Meranti. Lucky fella indeed. Room for improvement: Should work on their hospitality, especially some of the cashier ladies. Smiling & welcoming face won't kill anyway. Arrogance detected!

Another culinary souvenir from Medan - the place is quite organized so service is lightning-fast. However it's overrated - it's just a roll-tart cake. If you don't have much time, buy one at the airport. Visitors can buy the small, three-flavor package for rp 85.000 for everybody at home. Parking is tough.

The best cake/bolu in town, worth the wait and price
Try all the variance, and choose your favorite

instead of bolu, you can also find another unique Medan food. You must come here while visiting Medan

Way too much crowded but the cakes are just OK. Not worth going through so much hassle. Parking experience is alomst opening a hellgate. I wouldnt recommend going there if you aren't a fanatic of roll cakes.
