An amazing, exciting resort that feels like stepping into a different time and place. If you want an escape from your everyday, this is the ticket. Our private villa felt palatial, nearly every surface was hand-carved wood, and the private pool was the perfect cure for a long day of adventuring. The service was excellent, happy to help with anything we needed, I especially enjoyed our welcome massage and morning yoga. Definitely would stay here again!

Great stay! Very green and well-cared territory, nice and helpful staff. The village nearby is small but really interesting to see — the architecture of the houses. Restaurant is great, the breakfast is no buffet, but a range of courses to order from. The view on the jungle from the restaurant patio is amazing!

Beautiful hotel grounds, pool and surroundings. Very tranquil location, if a little remote from Ubud centre but there is a shuttle bus which works well. Great place to get away from it all. Room large and comfortable, shower excellent. Perhaps a little dated but clean and well appointed. Food is really good and with a package we had free breakfast and high tea. A beer is around £3 and a cocktail£6. Cocktails need work so stick to spirit and mixer. Staff are fabulous attentive without being cloying. I'd recommend this place to anyoneand it's extremely cheap for what you get. 5* without hesitation.

A great hotel. The staff is truly awesome and helpful.
The included minibar assortment was really lacking However, and could use an improvement.
It is a bit far from Ubud center, but the Hotel provides free shuttle service.

It's a good resort for vacation. Staff are so courteous. Bathroom and rooms are large however we stay in villa. Little bit disappointed from arrangements of breakfast. I would recommend other to stay in this resort.

Overall a really good experience. The restaurant and breakfast are incredible. The room is very spacious and the people are more than kind. My only "complaints" aren't really serious but still keep them in consideration: TV(no smartTV) is very small considering room size. Internet connection is always down (specially at night, I guess because everyone is using it). Finally I would have liked more free shuttle hours to go to downtown at afternoon/night (it's very limited), being the last one at 4:45pm, so if you want to stay longer you have to pay.

A wonderful place for a memorable stay. Lasts for a lifetime.
Go for the rooms with private pool.
Hotel management should consider introducing entertainment activities for the couples, group activities etc. apart from cooking lessons and massages.
Pool cleanliness can be improved. My pool had lot of fallen leaves from trees around. They cleaned it after my intimation only..response / report this review -

The Ayung resort is a very nice complex located at 25 minutes from the center of Ubud. We stayed there 7 nights and had a pleasant stay. The personal, especially the people taking care of the maintenance (gardener, cleaning,) are very kind and always smiley.
The breakfast could be improved as the choice, especially for people eating sweet food, is limited. After 7 days it's a bit boring to always have the same dishes. On the other side, the choice of in-room dishes is huge and not too expensive for such a resort.
Another aspect I didn't like is the fact that people at reception are very stressful especially when you just arrived from a long trip.response / report this review -

Our stay in Ubud was an amazing experience thanks to this place.
The place is amazing, relaxing, silent and terribly peaceful..
The hotel is very clean, the rooms are spacious. And what about the swimming pools and the views !
The restaurant just perfect. I feasted, new flavors with the local specialities ! The all-you-can-eat breakfast is a treat (fruits, eggs, Indonesian dishes, cheese, bakery .. all you want)
There are not many activities proposed by the hotel but the staff can call companies for you. The staff is so kind, friendly and SMILING.

Five star plus. This was easily the best hotel I have ever stayed at. It claims 5 stars, but the staff really cannot do enough for you. They address you by your name at every occasion, the food is outstanding. And it's so remote, you literally feel like your in the middle of the rainforest. A true paradise.

Good getaway for a tropical rainforest escape! It’s a good deal outside of “downtown” Ubud, so it’s easier to stay on premises than leave for regular visits, but with the great food and stunning scenery from the rooms, you won’t want to leave anyhow. The spa was great as was the morning yoga. Very happy here!

Great location, overlooking the forest canopy for breakfast, food was superb and staff very friendly and helpful.
Rooms are lovely and pool nice. Not that far from Ubud for a night out, can get very cheap taxis in town and then keep a few numbers and they'll take you anywhere quite cheaply.response / report this review -

It's hard to describe this resort in words. It is about 30 mins away from Ubud city centre, located on a lush green hillside above the Ayung river with sounds of the rainforest and the flowing river the only sounds. The service staff is amazing and always happy to help with a smile. Our villa itself was very tastefully decorated and the private pool overlooked the valley. Breakfast was lavish - an a la carte menu with some amazing options, all to be eaten with an incredibly view of rice fields and the ayung river. Don't forget to go for a walk to the river where you can also see some beautiful stone carvings.

It is very great place to stay and enjoy tropical forst for a days, very friendly employee, great foods, good room facilities and even they take care of your food allergies.

This place was fantastic. The last stop on our Bali honeymoon - Ayung had the best service, stunning grounds and a serene view of the rain forest.
The resort had a very good breakfast and a nice afternoon tea. We also tried the restaurant for dinner and drinks and were pleased with the service and taste.
When we arrived our room (princess suite) was decorated with flowers and candles. And after dinner we found a heart shaped cake next to our bed.
During our stay the pool was very quiet and we only saw a handful of other guests. We took advantage of the shuttle to Ubud which was nice. The taxi ride back was 100k rupiah so not a big deal. We thought it was nice being away from the bustle of the city center.
Interestingly enough, the resort is only half finished. We walked the grounds and found that there were a dozen or so villas that were about 90% completed and a couple of larger buildings in earlier phases of construction. It looks like it was halted a while ago because the rainforest was encroaching in on the buildings. I am assuming construction was halted because there isn't enough demand at the moment, but it was interesting to see. The villas were essentially complete, just needing fixtures and finishing touches.
All in all, this place was great and I would book it again if I was planning on returning to the ubud area.response / report this review -

My first trip to Bali, and let me say I can't even begin to tell you how amazing these people are. The breakfast every morning looking out into a beautiful mountain range you really can't describe. I never really write reviews but from the staff, to the food, to the incredible art. Ayung resort is by far the best vacation setting I've ever had, trust me if you go you'll be writing the same review!

Ayung Resort never fails to amaze me. This January has been my 3rd time coming back and that is just because of sheer brilliance of their service and staff. Food doesn't let you down and the facilities Ayung possess, are just astonishing. The lobby is chock-a-block with statues and art pieces and you can find some scattered around the property. Sadly, there seem to be some guests who abuse the Buggy service and I had a run in with one who didn't want to walk down to the Spa which was only 50M while we were running late to the airport and hadn't checked out yet.

Staff: 10/10
Pricing:9/10
Atmosphere: Romantic, Cozy, Relaxed

The breakfast is a la carte?😋, the afternoon tee is nice. The pool is a large infinity, dinner was delicious we had prawn with orange and fenell salad.
