The room had a moist smell in it. There was warm water from the shower and aircon. The music from the bar could be heard to the room. You can get to the ocean from the restaurant. The food was OK and the staff was friendly but a little bit too aggressive and pushy. WIFI was in and out so it was a bit annoying.

Value for money is excellent as are the staff. Food is great and again, great value for money. Room is better than I thought it would be, cleaned every day and air con. Any needs were attended to straight away - overall very happy.

Stayed here for lunch and drinks, food is overall good but not top notch explains the huge menu. The noodles we ordered were slightly undercooked.

The reason why we chose Alibaba was due to the cathedral sized bungalow on offer (#6) for what we thought was a reasonable price (3mill rph for 4 night but we stayed in peak season so accepted this seemingly inflated price). The reality was this:
We couldn't find the damn place on arriving to the island as signage was nowhere to be seen (we walked from the port instead.of getting the 100k cart)
There are a lot of staff doing absolutely nothing but lolling about on the rotting beds. Some of the staff were extremely lethargic.
The bungalow, although massive and seemingly impressive on arrival, had a hole in the mosquito net so was utterly redundant and was really dirty on further inspection. We are travelling with our own sheets, so gladly used them over the ones provided.
The room (inside or out) was not cleaned once during our stay. One day I had to go in search of a mop to clean up the bat poo that was neatly deposited outside our front door.
The breakfast was OK (banana pancake and grim coffee was my staple) but took over 40 mins to arrive most days. I understand this is a chilled island but this level of service is pretty poor when you are delayed in getting to a scheduled snorkling tour due to extremely slow service.
To top off the experience, we discovered that the men thought it was hilarious how much we paid when the lady (clearly the boss!) brought out the bill on departure. We felt utterly ripped off. We are seasoned travellers who research well enough, but this place really takes the biscuit.
I strongly suggest you don't stay here as there are FAR nicer and cheaper places on the island.
One bonus is that it is near to a lovely sunset beach.response / report this review
