  The organization is unfortunately lacking. Groups of people arrive and have to wait 1 hour or more for guides/rangers. As foreigner you pay 250k (320k on weekends) entrance fee. Locals pay much less. We were promised the medium track which should take at least 1 hour, then after 10 minutes the ranger beelined back to the start and left us at the souvenir hustlers to take up another group. Some people had to leave without seeing anything, after waiting longer than 1 hour and having their boat leaving. But they show nice graphs on the wall, how visitor numbers increased and how much money they made the government. Felt a bit milked here. Lots of potential though. But like this Disappointing Better are Pulau Padar and Manta Point.

  In Komodo there is no Hotel, no restaurant. You can only see the nature and the beasts and the only way to go there is by boat from the nearby island. Most people believe it too dangerous place and it is so far away you can never go there. But if you are in Bali it is very near and easy to get there. You can do a one night trip and it worth the time and price. It is a lifetime experience and you will not regret. And not at all dangerous.

  It great to see the dragons but the guides are very slow like the dragons. The try only to offer you the short tour. Don't fall into that trap. If you are below 90kg body weight you can do the medium track in 25min easily.
  4-5 dragons are drawn closer to the village.
  
  Rinca Island is a bit better and interesting.
  
  If the rangers would be more motivated they could do a great job. The organization of Komodo needs to improve this with projects and education.
  
  It's an amazing place with great potential
