Interesting ruin bar with many cool and random rooms to explore. One night we randomly stumbled upon a jazz concert in one room I always order a 'Pink Fluffy' cocktail- it's so delicious that I have to get it every time I visit. Also the bartender that I had during my last visit was very honest and had a lot of integrity - Once I told him to keep my change as a tip and he brought to my attention that I significantly overpaid for my drink so I am very grateful.

Impressive choice of alcohol, can't comment on the prices.
But if you are looking this place up you probably are more interested in the decor/history which doesn't disappoint. Originally the homes of Jewish families it now resembles a house party gone wrong, in a good way, with cheesy decor from various decades and graffiti everywhere.
Well worth a visit just be sure to explore it fully.response / report this review -

Szimpla is such a nice place if you would like to get a nice drink in the nightlife of Budapest. Every evening from 20:00 they have a live concert, which features some really interesting artists. If you would like to dance, then I would not recommend this place it is way too crowded. A lot of tourists here, but the interior design makes it a visit worth it.

Amazing bar! Went there for beers which were very good. The place is very nice with lots of things hanging from the walls and many lights everywhere. There's rooms you can enter to and sit in the tables. The walls are written. The whole experience was great. Would return any time. Lot's of Americans all around.

The atmosphere makes this place a hit, with lots of bars that seem to specialize on certain types of drinks. The atmosphere varies from room to room, and so there is something for everyone if you want to go out and have a chat over a drink of party like there's no tomorrow.
The drinks were partly pre-made and the bartenders don't taste them before serving, so I wouldn't recommend them. However, there are plenty of other options and if you're not there to party, it's easy to enjoy the surroundings.
Pretty calm during the day and can get full during nights. Visit it at least once when you're in Budapest, preferably with friends.response / report this review -

Great place to meet new people. It's a bit crowded but it give an impression of a full bar where young people can meet, enjoy and have fun. Craft beer, which I like, are great. Interior looks so artistic and inspired.

Very original! Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Nice for cocktails, I guess, but we tried to have lunch and the menu was very. very limited. They have a proper menu but only for dinner. But overall we really like the place and ambiance.

What can be said about a bar that prominitely features maps in several spots so you don't get lost? Easily one of the most unique bar(s) you will walk into. Seating is abundant and unique, sit in a rusted out car, on leather cushioned radiators, or in wooden theater seats. But arrive early on Friday and Saturday if you even want a chance of sitting down (I'm talking 9pm at the latest). Keep in mind that there are many individual bars inside and each has a different selection of beers on draft. The atmosphere is lively and you will definitely have opportunities to dance or chant along to the music.

Definitely in the top 10 for bars. Great vibes. I enjoyed my time spent there. Multiple bars throughout helped keep the service time fast. Always had a good crowd. It was neat seeing all the different rooms and their styles.

Unique and impressive, good vibe and ambience. You get a mix of people.which is always nice. The staff was friendly for a bar of this magnitude. Drink prices were reasonable can't say they were cheap but reasonable. It's very busy so it's difficult to find a seat. Perfect place to come and spend time
