Absolutely stunning hotel and a gorgeous suite. The layout of the bedroom was very nice and the linen was good quality. In the bathroom there was a lovely bath and good quality products to use. Only flaw in terms of the suite, is that in the bathroom, there could do with being a hook to hang up the dressing gown on. The interior of the hotel is breathtaking with historical features and a very impressive staircase. The library and pool tables were also a lovely feature, some great social areas and also working areas. Food however, is the main downfall of this hotel in my opinion. Was told upon check in there would be freshly made biscuits in the library everyday - there was never any biscuits during the 6 days we stayed at the hotel. Additional, the oyster bar and the bistro have very similar menus, and after a terrible experience at the oyster bar for dinner the first night, we did not bother to even check out the bistro. The oyster bar, had overpriced bland food, most of which was undercooked - most of my side of potatoes were rock hard. The atmosphere was awkward, as there was hardly anyone inside besides a few people sitting at the bar, yet despite it not being busy, the service was very slow.
This is a newly renovated modern hotel. The architecture is beautiful, amazing volumes.
My stay was beyond my expectations. I arrived in the room there was a big bottle of water and two fresh chocolate cookies (yummy by the way).
The room was spotless clean, comfortable king size bed and a large bathroom with a beautiful bathtub. They also provide a hair straightener.
Housekeeping service in the morning as usual but also in the evening to prepare the room for the night was very nice.
Breakfast: they have a large selection of food and they also offer vegan options such as vegan omelettes, vegan milk and many fruits.
Dinner: Very quiet. I had the vegan meal which was too salty for me.
Quality of the establishment and service : irreproachable. The personnel was truly kind and professional with some attention like welcoming champagne 🥂 , some water and chocolate square when we left for the dinner. The beauty of the architecture inside is absolutely amazing. The rooms are clean and all the building is totally new inside. Probably one of the best 5 stars hôtel of Budapest. Hope to see you soon 🙂
I have been to a few of the best rated hotels in the Budapest, but this one is on the another level. The service and attention to the details you get is just perfect. The interior design and history of the building make this place special. When it comes to the food, you can tell they use the best quality products. Last but not least, they have to offer a spacious library with a nice selection of books and a very calming spa.
Charlie Riestra, Laura, Matty, all absolutely fantastic. Your service today has made me such a happy man. Your attentiveness and attention to detail in your service is sublime. Not intrusive in anyway but very much so attentive with an excellent attitude to the guests staying here. You helped me find a bicycle through your concierge service and made me feel so comfortable in your care. Laura you looked after me at every minute, checking if there was anything else you could get for me so for that I thank you. Matty, the best welcoming to Budapest I could have wished for. You immediately made me feel at home and for that, I thank you again, from the bottom of my heart.
