I spent 3 days with my girlfriend at villa Volgy. It is placed 2 km from eger city centre. It is composed by three villas, a spa and a restaurant. There are different kind of rooms in the villas, in the spa you will have access to a hot water pool, a huge cold water pool where you can swim and during the summer to a nice outside pool with a bar placed into it. There are different kind of sauna to enjoy. If you are interested in activities like gym you will have access to it. The gym is very well equipped. The restaurant is really fabulous. The staff is young, friendly and professional.
Food is very good and well presented.

This is a very nice wellness hotel, very close to the wine cellars. The room was clean and big (we had one of the attic rooms). The breakfast selection was huge (great french toast and semolina porridge), the food was really good. We really enjoyed the wellness facilities, there is a large indoor swimming pool, two jacuzzis and 4 saunas. The wellness area is open from 8am, which is really great. Funny thing is that they make you pay 5euro per night for parking. And our bed had the most ridiculous built-in light I've ever seen and there was a weird smell when we arrived. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Very beautiful breakfast/dinner room, nice and clean suites, well kept buildings and gardens. Staff was generally kind and helpful. Food was pretty good too. Honestly it was a pretty solid hotel to stay at and I would recommend it to others going to Eger. My only turn off would be the fact sometimes lights in the hallways and the regular washrooms would turn off after several seconds, or they wouldn't switch on. Also looking at the fine details of the workmanship of the buildings, you can tell it was a rush job. Etc. Poor tile layout, uneven cabinets.

Starting from the worse part: the restaurant! Not clean, dirty cups, limited variety of dishes, the level of the food is basic (example: no butter).
The pools are dirty, many missing mozaic on the walls, old towels etc.
One good point: free wifi around the hotel.
Look for Saliris resort spa hotel, just 10 minutes drive but way better then Vila Vogly! Plus bonus: cheaper then this hotel!

Spent 3 nights in the Turquoise deluxe room.
It is stated a 4 star hotel (Hungarian ranking). So honestly we expected more when it comes to the detailes.
    Inconvenience factors:
No organized entertainment at all eg. wine tasting in the cellar or sth at the bar/restaurant; extra fee for parking; the restaurant is overpriced especially when it comes to taste>> there are couple better places in Eger to eat; Incredible bad noise insulation in the smaller building we were; Only ~7 basic Hungarian TV channels.
    Pros:
Wellness we enjoyed. ~15-20m swimmingpool; the smaller pools big&warm enough; different saunas; ok, the steam I prefer much hotter.
    Stable and decent speed wifi.
Location is great, both Szepasszonyvolgy and the city is close.
Nice egri wine sortiment in the restaurant.
Eger and the area is great.

Spent 2 nights there, in a 4* room for two persons.

POSITIVE: clean rooms and nice environment everywhere, nice&helpful stuff, breakfast&dinner is enough ///
NEGATIVE: room is quite small - and considering its 4 stars, really lack of equipments. No tall mirror, you can't check your clothings before dinner. No shoe cleaning tools. The TV on the wall is so small, you can't enjoy it from the bed. No additional furniture (like armchair, sofa)
For vegetarians not much chance in breakfast & dinner.
Closed parking is available - but not in a roofed area, just an open air area closed with gates.
Restaurant and the wellness area in separated buildings and can be approached only through open air walk - so in winter time you must put on your street clothes to reach them.
    ///
OVERALL, it's quite a 3stars hotel instead of 4. Prices should consider this.
