Really nice place to spend a weekend. Rooms are big and clean, breakfast was delicious and despite the most of the stuff know English "just a little bit", the atmosphere was great :)

Simple food, with fast service. When seated on the terrace one could see how dishes were scooped out of an au bain marie heater, but this is what you should expect from a restaurant such as this one. Don't come here if you expect anything other than a simple, quick meal.

Did not stay but visited the area. The reception lobby is just amazing. Little Chess tables that invite you for a match, a coffee bar to sit down and have a great coffee. If you need a hideaway. . . That is what you looking for.

Lillafured is a magical place, especially when one considers that it's not just a destination for visitors from afar, but for locals as well. It is fresh and unspoiled, on the edge of the Bukk National Forest which is a beautiful example of European deciduous forests. Hotel Tokert itself has two main lodging buildings, an inside restaurant and a wonderful outside dining patio with a view of the neighboring lake. The rooms we occupied were in the newer building, upstairs on the second floor and were clean and comfortable. Wifi was available but we could only connect intermittently. Beds were European style - double but with separate comforters and pillows. Air conditioning was available, but windows were open-able so the fresh forest air could cool the room. A refrigerator with cool drinks (mini-bar style) was also provided. The bathroom was comfortable and clean. The Hotel is on the main and only road through the area, so there was some loud traffic (buses, motorcycles), but this settled down by the evening. Parking is tight but available on site. Another plus is that the hotel is only a short walk from the local train that runs in the summer time from Miskolc up into the mountains, thus providing an additional way to access it. The restaurant food was delicious (had the grilled trout) and the provided breakfast was also excellent. All in all, very much recommended.
