the view is pretty nice, some of the staff is also quite nice, but we had some not so pleasant experiences as well, also for a 4 star hotel the cleanliness and the general state of the rooms/buildings is not what one would expect, still really great view and spent an overall good weekend here

They covered up all their four stars with duct tape at their entrance. So giving them 2 stars is actually quite generous of me.

I fail to understand why Echo Residence provide poor quality restaurant services - a hotel which says about itself that 5 stars hotel.
The HB dinner (advertised as 4 courses with candle light) was awful, inedible, rubbish. The tables and cutlery were dirty. I felt discriminated because ala carte and half board is separated in separated rooms.
However the location is perfect, first the apartmants looks luxurious , spa & wellness is in the package (massage is not, but that one worth every penny), I can not forgive the incident in the Karolina Fuszerkertje Etterem / Echo Residence.

first, it's an apartment resort, not a hotel. then, the 4 stars rating is rather exaggerated. the cleanliness and the general state of the buildings and the equipment is so much below the standard. a lot of minor disturbances: no cleaning, no soap, no time to appoint a massage, boring breakfast, etc, etc

Szüleimnek vettem ajándékba három napos kikapcsolódást. A szoba hideg volt, konkrétan nem volt fűtés, anyukám többször jelezte a recepción, ahol minősíthetetlen stílusban reagáltak a panaszra. Egy éjszaka után elhagyták a szállást, anyukám beteg lett, azóta is fáj a dereka, megfázott. A vacsora baby adag, pedig nem nagy étkűek. Írtam a hotelnak panaszt azóta se reagáltak rá. Úgyhogy jó drága móka volt ez, és még a betegség is jött vele Senkinek nem ajánlom, menjenek Balatonfüredre, százszor elitebb!!!

Premium residence was booked. Bathroom was dirty, apartment has not been redecorated for years, only two towels for 2people, no extra towel for spa, no slippers. Bathrobes were torn. own private sauna was not working. When we figured this out (8:40pm), we called the reception and all the numbers we could find but there wasn't any answer to our calls!!! Noone was at the reception at 8:50pm till next morning, no chance to change rooms, no chance to get the sauna working..we are talking about a 5* hotel. Dinner was well under average, was advertised like candle light 4course dinner, starter was some cheese on sliced bread, soup was almost cold, main course was ok for a 2* hotel, dessert was ok.
Horrible experience, way too overpriced. It may have been good when it was new but now it's terrible. It is on a level of a 2* hotel, but priced as 3*.
We made a complaint next morning at the reception and we told the we are not going to pay for the room, only for the dinner. The.staff at the desk was friendly, we only paid for the dinner. But the feeling that this was a christmas gift was ruined

Nice view, but the place is neglected. There was no hot water for a few days, the place is falling apart.
