Perfect location, across the street from the airport bus stop. But that’s it, first they sent me to the “hotel” across the street, I didn’t like the room, my “queen” bed was two individuals together, pillows were really old, bathroom is super tiny, I kept hitting the doors when taking a shower, bathroom heater was not working, shower drain clogged if you are a big guy stay away, book this if you prefer location over comfort.

Nice location: near many Metro, Tram and bus stations. A lot of restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The ground floor and the lift may look kinda scary, but the rooms are pretty well furnished. The staff are friendly as well.

Get beyond the rather forbidding ground floor corridor and the slightly coffin-like lift and this hotel is actually pretty good. It takes up one floor (the third floor of an apartment block), presumably with private apartments on the floors above and below. Unlike the ground floor entrance, it is nicely decorated and the young reception staff are all very friendly and helpful.
Our room overlooked the main road outside and we weren’t disturbed by the traffic as the sound-proofing was adequate and the it’s quite high up. There is however and awful lot of traffic through Budapest and it can seem relentless.
It was a big room with plenty of space including two tables, a wardrobe and even a kitchenette. The bed was two singles put together and while quite low it was perfectly comfortable.
The hotel really is in the heart of the city and a short walk from many of the big attractions including the Elizabeth Bridge so you’re even within walking distance of the Buda side with the Castle and Citadel. That said, there are public transport opportunities absolutely everywhere and the Astoria tube stop just yards from the hotel.
You’ll have a good stay in Budapest here – just get beyond the entrance and the lift.response / report this review -

A budget priced hotel that offers a great location, clean rooms, and friendly staff. Don't let the hotel frontage and lift put you off. Once you get upto the 3rd floor, you will find clean spacious rooms with classic styling and a friendly helpful family run hotel. We even had a reasonably nice bottle of Hungarian wine in the room on arrival.
It's 1min walk to Astoria metro, and 4min to Deák Ferenc Square metro, so you are in the heart of Budapest.
There is no restaurant, but there are loads of places to explore nearby, and the hotel has a 5Euro breakfast voucher for a place around the corner, offering a decent enough breakfast menu.response / report this review -

For the price, it's very good. The staff is not super friendly, but the location is perfect and the rooms are fresh. They treated us with a bottle of white wine upon arrival, which was a nice touch.
The hotel is located on the outskirts of the Jewish district and close to both the tourist attractions and local hotspots for food and drinking. Absolutely perfect location.

Great hotel, clean and large room, friendly staff, best value for money. I've had much worse service in much more expensive hotels.
Breakfast wasn't all that great, but this was more due to the Bali Café.response / report this review
