Loved loved loved being here. Once we had a chance to eat the welcome we received, the presentation of the Food, the explanation of the area with the history was positively like none I have ever had. This is a definite place to stop in when in this part of Haiti!❤❤❤

As far as ruins go these are pretty nice. Not many people around and you can take some awesome shots of the cathedral next door.

Definitely worthwhile to visit. $10 admission per adult including a guide in English. Very important part of the history of Haitian independence.

[ A ] As I explored the magnificent ruin of the Sans-Souci palace I can clearly see why it was once considered the Versailles of the Carribean. Constructed from 1807 to 1813, Sans-Souci was the home of King Henri Christophe I of Haiti. Christophe was a former slave who became a key leader in the 1804 Haitian Revolution. The palace was built on top of a French plantation by thousands of slaves. An earthquake in 1842 severely damaged the palace, but what's left of the ruins still give you a sense of its former glory.

Great historical place! Good piece of Haïtien history! Lots of certified guides. Make sure you stick to the initial price you negotiated before your visit. My guide asked for 5 times more arguing that he gave me much more information There was a lot of students ! Read about it online about it, it's useful!
