Great island! Some beaches are better than others. I recommend Nelly beach for a shorter walk and pretty good snorkeling. DO NOT go to the beach across from Nelly beach! It is a crowded and kind of gross beach. The food provided on the island was very bad, and the lines were horrific. Flies we're flying around and the ribs we had we're half cooked. Make sure you eat on the ship. Although the Zipline looks fun, it is an insane price (75 bucks a person)! Service was good and the chars were free (minus tip) Overall if you go to the right beach and eat on the ship, the island was enjoyable (which is why I gave it 4 stars).

Royal Caribbean Cruise Line's private stop is amazing!! Lots to do and the scenery is so beautiful. Be aware that the local shopping area can be a little overwhelming with pushy sales people. Stay on the walkway, because if you go into their shops you will be wearing hats, bracelets and necklaces. The beaches are very nice with soft sand. Wear sunscreen as the sun is very powerful here!!

This is a 'perfect' and very well groomed place, as it is owned by Royal Caribbean International. You won't experience anything besides beaches and other cruise shop guests unless you venture outside on one of the excursions.
Staff is nice, everything (food, drinks, beach lounger) is included, so for relaxation it's pretty much the best
Tip:
1) Get off the boat early, if you want a good spot.
2) Go for the kayaking excursion. You get to kayak to a little village 20 minutes away and a local guide tells you about the history of the area. He's very open for questions about Haiti and the society in general. Very safe and is possible even for beginners (as long as you have basic fitness skills).
3) Bring food to your beach lounger instead of sitting up by the buffet area. You get more peace and comfort that way.response / report this review -

My 3rd time there with Royal Caribbean. I love this cruise day resort. Haiti is never a place I'd visit due to the danger to life in general, shown on our news. Here, you don't see any roads leading to resort. Workers live less than a mile away down the beach where you see the compound.
It's a bonus of getting the island Beach experience to include Expeditions offered by the cruise or if you don't want to spend any money just use your key card to get all the free food and beverages and alcoholic beverages provided if you purchased a drink package. My husband and I look at it as having a beach on a cruise ship for that visit. So it's really a nice break. I've been to other Cruise Line Resorts and Royal is the only one where we don't have to spend a penny if we don't want to yet eat all we want drink all we want and enjoy the scenery, the shows on the beach, and swimming! Picturesque and relaxing getaway. This place epitomizes what to expect from Caribbean beaches. There are activities for people looking for high intensity as well as nice places to just sit back and relax. Good food options and nice Caribbean entrainment. A great experience overall.

Beautiful place. Exclusive access only to Royal Caribbean cruise ships. This destination has grown over time with zip lines, alpine coaster, water slide and water park and plenty of beaches and other tropical activities. Many are included in your cruise fare but some are extra cost. The only downside is the persistent invitations from the local vendors in the artisan village. Thankfully they are not aggressive but their persistence to have you stop has no limits.

Labadee was much better than we were expecting it to be. We had actually booked an excursion to take us to another private island to get away from what we thought would be an over-commercialized, overcrowded, cheese fest, but our excursion was cancelled so we spent the day on Labadee. Luckily, it turned out to be very nice. The peninsula is large enough that it didn't seem too crowded. We didn't have to fight over lounge chairs, or struggle to find a spot in the shade. The food (lunch provided by Royal Caribbean) was plentiful and tasty. There is a gauntlet of locals selling their wares that you have to run to pass between the beaches, and they are VERY aggressive salespeople, but if you keep moving they won't bother you too much. If you buy, be prepared to haggle quite a bit. The beaches are beautiful and we had a pleasant and relaxing day.

A lovely private beach developed by and for Royal Caribbean. Well laid out and fun to enjoy, with the zip line being the best feature if you are the adventurous type. If you are a suite guest or purchase a cabana you can access barefoot beach which is probably one of the better beach areas. Be aware that the beaches can be very rocky and if you have tender feet hurt a lot. Their is also a artisan village and be prepared to glimpse into a poorer side of humanity as the vendors are desperate for business. Very enjoyable all the way around though.

Man made resort by Royal Caribbean international hands. Sadly no where near a true insight into life in Haiti. Street vendors pleasant but pushy. They all sell the same similar products and claim to have made them in their own homes. All promise to give you a good price. Some offer free bracelets to entice you into their “shop”. Beaches generally sandy but water choppier in some coves. Nellies beach and Columbus beach the best. Zip line highly recommended. The all you can “ride roller coaster” ride offers wonderful sights. Water clean but disappointingly no tropical fish close to shore.

Beautiful beach and location. Favorite part is your not getting hounded to buy junk while there. Never seemed even a bit sketchy as royal Caribbean owned the entire piece of property. Another plus is that the beaches are spotless with no trash at all. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Beautiful private beach, went to Columbus cove you have to go as early as you can to get a good spot stayed all day. No need for water shoes the sea has a sandy bottom no rocks.

This cruise stop is made exclusively for Royal Caribbean great place to lay on the beach! The beach is rocky. Plenty of water sports! Take the jet ski! Possibly one of the most scenic ziplines anywhere!

If you can put up with vendors practically accosting you to sell you their goods then this is the place for you. I personally like to browse through the booths and see what I want and not have them constantly at my side jabbering about their goods

This AMAZING private resort from Royal Caribbean was just perfect. The snorkeling was some of the best we have experienced, and because it was owned by RC, everything was connected to the cruise, aka, drink package was valid on land! 👌

One of the best cruise stops I've ever experienced. The Haitians were very friendly and helpful. The peninsula is beautiful with clear blue warm water. You can rent cabanas for the day. Some things are a bit far depending on which part of Labadee you're in (ie food, restrooms), but the place is great!

Beautifully laid out private beach. Fully capable of holding large ships like the Oasis of the Seas without feeling crowded. Many sandy, protected beaches .

This private property owned by Royal Caribbean Cruise line is full of activities for all ages. Royal Caribbean has left the land intact, so you are surrounded by trees. The beaches were lovely, just a little too much seaweed in the waters. Likely due to time of year we were there.
