Something very special . Quiet Paradise , richfull area and dishes are come from another planet , delicious Creole attractive food. Oh my ! It's unexplainable I can't define by my own how Marvelous is this place.

Everything in this place needs renovation; the hotel grounds are lovely but the rooms look like dormitories from another century; to enter the shower you climb a 2 ft tall wall, all the hardware is falling apart - if it is still in place. No Internet during a 3 day stay, and no apology! On the positive side the location and the gardens. Breakfast quite normal compare to other locations. Now there are plenty of new hotel options for Cap, do you homework and you won't be disappointed. This hotel should not cost more than $60-$70/night.

Nice old house hotel, great breakfast and very nice service

As far as hotels in Haiti go, this one is pretty nice. The staff is friendly and the owner is nice. Ask for "how are you" at the bar. It's his nickname. He'll take care of you. The rooms are small and the one we stayed in did not have a separate bathroom. There was just a half wall separating the bedroom from the toilet, so privacy is non existent. The AC worked well. Breakfast was OK but we never had dinner there so I can't speak about that. The pool looked nice although we didn't use it.

Ok so for the amount of money they charge I was expecting better. The room had two beds, nice water pressure, and AC. However, and I think this is repeated in the comments the front desk receptionist need to be trained better. They don't make eye contact and seem disinterested. I realize Haiti doesn't have much tourism but it has a way to go to develop its hospitality industry.
Also because sewer is not subterranean the smell can be pungent so close your bathroom door at night.
Terraces are nice and they sell postcards and charge an extra 5 dollars if you use credit card all things I would like to have known.
Good wifi but you have to hang out on the front.
Food some plates better than others and a bit over priced.

If I could give no stars, I would. The obese receptionist didn't even look up at us when we got there to check in. Then she vehemently stated they were full and notions were available after we booked online. I cancelled the reservation and thanks to her nasty attitude, I stayed at Habitation Jouissaint which is a phenomenal hotel that gives the meaning to luxury.

I would avoid this hotel at all cost. The security guard was nice in showing us around

Went to Cap Haitian looking for a place to stay. The guard at the gate was very friendly and helpful on information. But the receptionist had a chip on her shoulder very rude and did not even look at us when trying to check in. At last minute she stated we are full. Never again. Thanks to her we stayed at Habbitation Joussant

I'm sure back in the day this was a nice place, but boy was there a lot of room for improvement. I stayed at this place in mid January and there are so many mosquitoes it cast a pale over the entire time there. The hotel also titled up the booking for a number of my colleagues. But every room had Mosquito nets. There is a giant vacant lot turned trash heap that a number of the rooms back on to. If you can stay somewhere else, it's maybe not a bad idea.

Not the best service. I tried to contact the hotel through email to arrange airport shuttle to the hotel. 17 days and a few phone calls and emails later i finally got a reply and a confirmation of the airport shuttle.
However the shuttle never showed up at the airport and i had to find another solution.
This might be common in Haiti. But when comparing to the price level of the Roi Christophe i expect way better service and more professionalism.
I won't stay at the Roi Christophe again. For my next trip to Cap-Haitien I'll choose the Cormier Plage Resort as the service, food and comfort here is light years ahead of the Roi Christophe.

I truly enjoyed my room number 33. It was charming and full of personality. Very cute. However the room had a lot of little flies and a gecko was in the room. I probably would have given it a three but while asking questions to the front desk help, Joceline, I detected a hint of attitude, which is a total turn off for me. A guest should have their questions answered without an attitude. Overall, I stayed in three different hotels while in Haiti, my favorite was Le Picolet Great staff, wonderful service, and very lovely room.

For the price it was just okay. They are overpriced. The atmosphere was nice. I did enjoy the pool.
