I truly recommend this place. I stayed there for a week and the service was exceptional. The owner, James is very nice and went above and beyond to ensure that myself and my guest were comfortable. We got picked up from the airport in a very nice and clean vehicle and had some great conversation on our way to the hotel. . Upon arriving, we were greeted by two gentleman - they both were very nice and assisted with the luggage to our room. James offered to accommodate me by putting our travel documentation in a safe for us and recommended some great restaurants in CAP- Haitian.
Price:
I rented the budget room for $60 dollars per night. At first I was a bit hesitant since I believed I was going to be in a crappy room for the price. I thought that in Cap Haitian a hotel room for $60 per night comes with the perks of mosquitoes and flies that sucks your blood out. To my surprise this was NOT the case.
The room:
The room was stupendous. It was equipped with a ceiling fan and a floor fan and did I mentioned the view is to die for. Additionally I loved it because it was secure and away from the mass population.
Service:
Normally I am very picky when it comes to customer service. With this experience I must admit it was exceptional. The housekeepers, Rosemitta and Gerline, went above and beyond to ensure a memorable service. I give them a five star rating ⭐️ ⭐️ 🌟 🌟 🌟.response / report this review -

This place was surprisingly amazing. The views of the city alone are worth your stay. The staff was cordial and helpful at every turn. This may be our new place of destination in all of Cabo.

A last minute decision to stay here (changed from another beach spot) came after all the MANY great reviews I read about the staff and this being a longtime LOCALLY run property. Four of us stayed here and really had a good time! We were very well looked after by the family who own the hotel, had a great look around the area and some fun nights out! The food at the hotel was very good!

L'accueil est très sympathique, la vue sur la ville magnifique, le personnel extrêmement gentil, le chauffeur très disponible, les chambres propres et agréables. On se sent un peu comme à la maison.

Great value for money, great view, restaurant, hospitality. Really felt like home ! Thank you James for making my visit to Cap-Haitien unforgettable, I even extended my stay of one more day ! Best place to go, wholeheartedly recommend !

Habitation des Lauriers was excellent. Incredibly friendly, welcoming owners. Check-in concludes with a cocktail! This was wonderfully laid-back and relaxed. Sit on the chairs on the veranda or in the restaurant for a great view of Cap Haitien and a cooling breeze. Absolutely superb food and tasty cocktails. Best spaghetti ever! Food feels home-cooked rather than restaurant style and is delicious. Definitely learn some Creole if you are headed to Haiti, but the owners speak excellent English which was quite helpful. They also gave us guidance and arranged a driver at a very reasonable price for a trip to the Citadelle, which was invaluable. The hotel is at the end of a tiny road winding past houses up a steep hill. There is a fair amount of noise from the surrounding community, so it's less isolated than some other places we stayed if that's a concern for you. Short walk downtown to see the main sights. Room was modest but comfortable. We loved our stay and would definitely go back!
