We loved our time at Colins Hotel. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, the view was beautiful, the room was clean, and the food was delicious! The staff also arranged our transportation to and from the airport and our tour to Bassin Bleu. They were also great at giving us directions and even sent someone with us to make sure we could find where we were trying to go. We couldn't have asked for a better stay!

The location at Lakou Newyork is a plus. We live in Haiti and I found the food and service on par with other restaurants in the same price range. The Bbq chicken was good but smothered in bbq sauce, so I would ask for no sauce next time.

Great place to stay. I would have said it's the only great place to stay in Jacmel period.

It's clean, cheap and right next to the beach Everything is fine, really. I didn't give a higher rank because of the band noise at night During the weekends they don't finish until midnight.

On February 20, 2017 at approx. 5 pm, I went with my friends to eat at Colins Hotel in Jacmel, Haiti. We all ordered our drinks. I ordered a rum punch and the others ordered a bottle of beer and bottles of soda. When the waiter brought our drinks, I did not like my drink. It was too sweet and barely had any rum in it. My friends tasted my drink and agreed that it was just a punch with very little rum. I asked the waiter to please bring me a shot of rum to add to my drink. I took him about 20 minutes to return to our table. I asked him for the rum and in his none caring manner he said that he was going to get it.
He came back and said the bartender (Rosemay) refused to send any additional rum and said that she will not add any rum to my drink either. I returned the drink and asked for water instead. The waiter brought me a bottle of water without a glass. I asked for a glass and he brought me a dripping wet glass.
The food came finally an hour and fifteen minutes later. We ordered rice and beans and we are served plain white rice instead rice and beans. When we asked why only white. The waiter said "we didn't have rice available so we made it for you".. so we would not complain. I told him to choose your words.
Very poor customer service.
I would not recommend this establishment to anyone.
