Great meal in a very nice street of the old town! Good local wines too. A bit pricey but similar to all restaurants in this part of town.

    Food:
Gnocchi - tasteless, poor texture, cheedar cheese rind (not the cheese itself)
Veal shank - plain, served with raw broccoli.

Does the chef try the food?

    Service:
Served locals more attentively, aggressive once told why we weren't eating the gnocchi.

    Overrated.

We walked past this restaurant and were impressed with both the decor and friendliness of the gentleman standing at the entrance. The menu looked awesome so we cancelled our other reservation for this one! The menu was amazing, and we were torn between many different items, but both ended up getting the homemade octopus gnocchi It was SO good!! Perfect red sauce and flavor! This was one of our favorite meal in Croatia, and I'm so glad we came. The wait staff was friendly and attentive, the decor was lovely, and our seat on the balcony was beyond perfect! I highly suggest this spot!

We had a delicious dinner of two starters and two appetizers. The octopus salad was excellent, none of the flavours overpowered the others, absolutely delicious. The gazpacho was not traditional Spanish style, but was also gorgeous, served with homemade bread, grilled. A real treat. The hot appetizers were just as good. The buzara, clams and mussels served in a rough tomato sauce, was great,I devoured it. The risotto was really lovely, garnished with mushrooms and ginger. Definitely recommended. The terrace upstairs has an amazing view of the old city.

We had a wonderful dinner here, probably my favorite dinner during our stay in Dubrovnik. The views were stunning, the service was great and the good was delicious. The beer and wine selection was also great. Thanks Stara Loza for a great meal all around!!

Definitely a fancy spot in the heart of the old city. Food was very good but on the pricey side. Service was great as well. Views from the terrace were spectacular. A very romantic spot.

Best dinner in Dubrovnik with a fantastic view. We booked the balcony 3 stairs up with a rooftop view. It was very calm in contrast with the crowded street below. More fine dining food and interesting menu. Gazpacho was great. Little more expensive than "normal" but well worh it. Service super efficient and correct. Strong recommendation for an exclusive dining experience in Dubrovnik.

Fine dining in Dubrovnik doesn't get much better than this. Highly recommend the sea and land risotto, which was slightly undercooked, as I like it, which comes with deliciously creamy raw scallop sashimi and lamb sweetbreads. The portions are small, but that is to be expected in a white tablecloth setting such as this. Service is impeccable.
