This is one of those places where you can't miss with a fish course.
Widely famous for their shellfish.
Located in Mali Ston by the seaside the restaurant has a beautiful authentic interior and a roomy terrace.
The service is friendly and efficient.
Be sure to ask if they have fresh oysters (they usually do) and do enjoy them raw with a glass of domestic wine.
The Ston cake is quite specific and is basically pasta with walnuts, sugar and spices. It's good but might not be your cup of tea to ne honest.
The prices are up there but it's well worth it.response / report this review -

The most interesting part of this restaurant is they have oyster and mussels tasting in the Mali Ston Bay. Our group tour had a great time learning oyster farming - which takes about 3 years to mature and to try raw European flat oysters. But the actual lunch was average, perhaps the Chef was not used to prepare for large tour groups. However, I do like the oyster soup

This is the restaurant that you can ask them to organize an experience to see oyster and eat it fresh from the sea. It was quite an experience. You should try it out to go out there. For the food, risotto was so so as it is a bit too salty but the sardine dish was not bad. I prefer the outdoor seat outside as you can feel the breeze of the sea if you lucky, please sit outside as inside can be a bit stuffy.

Fantastic, you can't go wrong here. Taking eat-local to a new level with most items coming from within a kilometer of this harbour-front estaurant built into a former salt warehouse in the 800 yr old city walls. The grilled oysters, tasting lightly of wood smoke, are the best I have had in a lifetime of eating oysters. The black risotto is a must - your waiter will recommend the perfect local wine.
Park in Mali Ston, walk the amazing city walls over to Ston, return via the walls or the footpath after exploring Ston..and then reward yourself with a leisurely meal of great food and wine at Bota Sare.response / report this review -

Great place for lunch and dinner. To sit in and outoysters are a must as well as all other food (antipasti, warm starters, fish,all the food without exception was delicious.

We were there yesterday - very bad and unorganized service - considering the fact that it was quite empty (3 tables were full) it took like 30min for the first drinks and aprox 40min for the meal of our son (even that we asked to speed his simple thing up). There were something like 3 Service employees - if they would catch each a table it would be far better. The Food was nothing special so due to the high price and the bad service overall just one star.

Outstanding eating experience! Excellent waiter, food, and atmosphere. Make sure you take the boat out to see and taste the shellfish. Amazing!!!

Bad food. And for fish of 250 gram take money for 400. No wifi. Waiting to much time for food(hours). The oysters soup terrible and impossible to eat so disgusting.
