Absolutely breathtaking scenery. Very reasonable 10 euro for entry, mini bus transfer to and from Polace/ pomena and the boat trip to the monastery in the middle of the lake is included. We got bikes to go around the big lakes for about 13 euro for 2 hours and it was well worth it. Don't miss this experience.

Crystal waters, the smell of pine, bright summer sun. Bring thick beach towels for sure if you're planning to catch some sun - most spots to lay down in are pebbly and or earthy.

This area is really unique. If your looking to indulge yourself in mother nature, there is no better place to do it than here. Rent a bicycle or hike around the entire lake! No cars are allowed.
The entry costs 40kunars (May 2017) which includes the boats ride that will take you to the monastery on an island inside the lake!response / report this review -

Awesome place. Beautiful island. Go have a swim in the lakes and their crystal clear waters. In June the place is still almost empty and the water is already warm.

Impresionante e irreemplazable cita con la naturaleza de la isla. El contacto con ésta es absoluto: los lagos, la vegetación, la diversidad de caminos para explorar la zona En nuestro caso, nos aventuramos en dirección a lo que iba a ser una larga y agradable excursión, pero resultó ser algo más sufrida y prolongada de lo esperado; también por las condiciones del momento, como la alta temperatura o la falta de agua para beber. Al final, una recompensa bien merecida: unas vistas para no olvidar.
Cuidado con las grandes abejas de la zona, no se cortan si deben traspasar tu ropa con el aguijón para picarte.response / report this review -

I loved staying on Mljet, due to the amount of woodlands there is no shortage of shade when you get too hot :)
