I visited the museum whilst on holiday in Split amazing collection of drawings and paintings. Small gallery could spend half a day here lovely coffee shop great experience.

It's a very messy exhibition with everything mixed up with no particular order. Exhibits have descriptions only in Croatian, but main notice boards are multilingual.

The security guard/historian gave us a great tour through the current exhibition, free of charge, including some stunning examples of local 18th century clothing and accessories. Didn't have time to see the city history exhibition but it looked promising!

Klein aber fein. Das Gebäude in dem sich das heutige Museum befindet ist ursprünglich ein Palast aus 16.jh. im grossem römischem Palast aus 4.jh. :)
Einer der Nachfahren dieser Familie war begeiseter für Archeologie und begann so aus der Stadt Split, Trogir und Salona viele Antike Schätze in seinen Haus zu Ausstellen. Nun dies war eigentlich auf eine Art die erste Geburt vom Museum im Palast.response / report this review -

Muzej grada Splita, dobra lokacija, odlična događanja i postavke ali ne stoji na dodjeli nagrade Zaštita kulturne baštine na prozoru balkona ono što visi.
