Wanted to see the newest exhibition about the sixties. It's a nice combination of art exhibition with some nostalgic objects of that time, joint with dresses of the certain periods within.

Very nice museum with great shows. Only architecture of the museum is very nice. Standard show is full of art deco chairs, otomans, fashion, etc. Most interesting part is when you enter a room full of various clocks. From pocket size to full standing wall size. At the moment where all of them start to make some noise is great.

It's like visiting an antique shop - here's why:
Nice and varied objects collection BUT, that's all. The descriptive labels are only in Croatian and you have to get a separate card with the descriptions in English in every room. These labels say practically nothing, basically only stating the name of the object (ex: wooden table, mechanical clock - 18th century etc.). Nothing is related to the people, the place the item was found in or anything else. As I said, it's like visiting an antique shop. Nothing more.

Small museum not much to show, I think the building is the main highlight.
There was a complete section that was closed so didn't get to see the entire exhibition items but I don't think it will add much.

Three storeys' worth of arts and crafts, mostly put out in a fairly good way. Most rooms have a summary explanation in English of the era in question. Though most individual items lack English descriptions, the dating information for each item should be understandable in any language.

The staff is quite eager to brush up their English, though they might greet you out loud in Croatian when entering a room.

One of my favourite museums in Zagreb. The building itself is a piece of art, with its carefully crafted interior. The exhibits in their permanent collection are quite interesting, I am particularly fond of their collection of clocks and watches, and Art Nouveau/Art Deco related exhibits. It's also a lovely concert venue, especially in the summer, when concerts are held in the museum's atrium.

Nice restaurant for special occasions. A bit pricey, but the location, good service and great food are worth it.
