Love love loved this place, our waiter cris was brilliant, his recommendations were superb! The food was simple and delicious and the wine was very good. Cris went out of his way to show us somewhere to go for drinks after and even made sure that they got us a table. Faultless, I highly recommend this place!

Awesome service from the staff. Very friendly and provided an excellent understanding of how the menu items are sourced. The food was delicious and the chefs (we sat inside) prepare all the food to order and seem to have great care for their dishes. Wait staff did their best to speak English, manager spoke really well and our table waiter tried his best and really showed the effort :)!
Also super cool place mats for your entrees that depict historical figures of Croatia and Sibinek!response / report this review -

Awesome. Both the smoked sausage with truffle pasta and the traditional style mussels were delicious. Serving size was great. Washed it down with a couple of tasty house cocktails. Finished with the fig dessert which was my personal favourite. Chris our waiter was excellent, you could see he really had a passion for making this an experience to remember. Do yourself a favour and make sure you pay them a visit. You won't regret it!

There are restaurants that are a place to get food, and there are restaurants that are an experience. Nostalgija clearly is both! The food is special - excellent taste, creative and amazing presentation. The menu is concise and everything is fresh. Service is super nice, casual but from the heart, relaxed and charming. The place itself is quirky and shows how much passion goes into everything. They limit tables to 4 people in order not to compromise the food by having to cook for large groups. Placemats are tours of the city's and the country's most famous offspring, put together with much care. The house cocktail is also really special Just so much to love and explore!!!

Food was really good. We had the prosciutto as appetiser, tuna and the sea bream. The prosciutto was amazing! Same as the tuna and the fish too. The waiter was really nice and friendly and he definitely passionate about the restaurant. We were also given a complimentary shot at the end of our meals which was a nice touch :) highly recommended!

It is hard to assess this restaurant because we had fantastic moments and at the same time very conflicting feelings. For sure fish there were great (sea bream and sea bass). Especially with carrot, pumpkin and spinach purée. Mussels in tomato sauce were also good. But I was really disappointed due to pasta with seafood. It was the same mussels/clams in tomato sauce, but with pasta It should be written "pasta with mussels", not "pasta with seafood". There was no other seafood like shrimps, squids and the like. For this price it is not acceptable. All the rest was perfect - great service, friendly waiters and nice atmosphere.

There's not much else to add to the other reviews other than to say this place is a must!! We arrived and were told the wait would be a while, I was persistent and it worked out (kill them with kindness.) The entire menu is locally sourced, traditional Croatian meals. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did, VERY kid friendly.

Our best meal of the trip!!! The salad with bacon and fig was amazing as was the bread, house red, and veal steaks. Give yourself time as they don't take reservations. They will bring you a beverage and a cushion while you wait though. We only waited 10 min.

Exceptional, that is all this place was. Beginning with the greeting, the service and the food, there was great attention to detail. The waiters were excellent and caring towards our two kids (infant and toddler), making sure not only adults but also the kids were happy. Toddler ate his entire meal. HIGHLY recommend the restaurant (we had the mussels, turkey and squid ink risotto, however the menu is apparently custom and changes).

Locally recommended , black risotto and tuna are very good. We would definitely come back if we are ever in town again. The owner is very nice and help recommend good wine.

Great food. Best octopus salad we had in Croatia, and we knocked a few of those back!
Service was excellent, a nice young guy who was very proud of his restaurant and his home town of Sibenk.
We also learnt that Nikola Tesla was Croatian. Well in Croatia!response / report this review
