friendly attitude, tasty cheese sandwich and sool drinks. Located in a quiet sideway. Very good to slow down and take a rest in this very beautiful city with its lovely inhabitants. We were there for the first time in May 2017.

Very good, the ingredients are fresh and the prices are quite low (a challenge in old town !) Highly recommended for everyone who needs to eat well, good, fast and cheap.

Definitely not fast food!
No idea what the food is like here as the waitress, after giving us our menu, went off to chat with some customers who had already been served and ignored the remaining tables.
Like the other abandoned patrons around us, we eventually got bored waiting for her and left.response / report this review -

Simple diner / sandwich bar, the menu doesn't have much choice and would benefit from better descriptions (what does a Dalmatian plate contain??). But we found the service friendly and attentive, and the bread and cheese are home-made and tasty. The proprietor was happy to chat about his bread despite a bit of a language barrier. I enjoyed the vegetarian sandwich with salad, egg and cheese and my partner enjoyed the apple strudel.

After being given the menu, the waitress went to chat with some customers who had already been served and ignored all other (potential!) customers.

Other reviewers don't seem to realise the added cost that comes with making your own produce. The cheese and bread (at the least) is home made, and it's a family run place where the sandwiches are made with attention to the quality of the ingredients, as opposed to the mass produced pre-packed sandwiches you'll get in a lot of other places. If you don't care what you're eating, go elsewhere, but if you want a nice filling lunch and to support a family business, go here. €4 is not really much to pay for a quality sendvič.

i dont understand why this place has so many good reviews. i went there expecting pretty much the sandwich of my life and all i got was a culinary disappointment. for 30 kuna (4 euros) you'll get a small sandwich with ham and cheese topped with tomatoes and fresh salad. although the bread was really good (this seems to be a common thing in croatia - they really know how to make bread) everything was quite dry and both the cheese and ham were quite on the salty side.
go to the supermarket, which is on the opposite of the street, and build your own sandwich.response / report this review -

Excellent authentic Croatian street food. They use fresh home made bread. Small family owned, family run place. A favorite amongst the locals as well. Good value for money. Well worth the visit.
