Room was not clean, bathroom was dirty, food was not fresh but frozen, industrial and not good at all. The hotel have four stars, but food is very bad, "economical" oriented, without any taste. In the room are ventilators and no clima. Ventilators are noisy. In the evening the hotel drop faeces in the sea, near the beach, so smell is very very bad and the faeces flow at the sea. Evening swimming is not recommendet.end of Juni 2017. I recommend private houses which are forward from the hotel and which are rental and for good prices. Near is also hotel Hvar and its much better. The beach is beautiful, with trees. There you can buy very good olive oil and honey.

Many stairs all around, it's a problem if you have kids and tone of bags to carry. One receptionist says they have a small golf car to help with baggage, other one was surprised when I asked for it.
Breakfast simple, different dishes to choose, but everyday almost the same. Diner with lot of choice. Not spectacular taste, but quite OK (except the soup made from concentrate whic).
Appartments are old (I took low budget type, there are also renovated ones), but comfortable, quiet and very clean.
All of the stuff very, very pleasant, friendly.
Swimming pools with sea water are clean and suitable for kids. It's not allowed to swim in the pools after 7.00 PM, I don't understand why. There are no parasoles near the pool, only at the pool bar.
At the pool bar they use glass ashtrays, glasses Everyday at least one thing got broken into many tiny pieces which is big problem because of barefoot guests.
They offer animation I didn't use and mini club and mini disco for kids.
There is beautiful route by the sea to walk to the city centre, you can take a bike ride. They got bikes and scooters to rent.
Unfortunately, I needed medical care for kid so we found out there is a new ambulance near by and pharmacy in the centre of the town. We got fast help.

Rooms have no air conditioning! Food is various and good tasting but a lot of it is made from frozen ingredients, not fresh vegetables.

Wakacje 2013r. bardzo miłe wspomnienia. Apartamenty przestronne, dobrze wyposażone, codziennie sprzątane + wymiana ręczników. Na miejscu przy budynku hotelowym kawiarnia i restauracja oraz baseny ze słoną wodą. Miejscowość Jelsa jest niewielka ale bardzo urokliwa. Program obowiązkowy to zwiedzanie Hvaru (stolicy wyspy). Cykliści zabierzcie rowery lub wypożyczcie je na miejscu, wyspa Hvar pełna jest malowniczych tras rowerowych, polecam także całodniową wyprawę na sąsiednią wyspę Bol i plażowanie na słynnej plaży Zlatni Rat (podobno jeden z najbardziej znanych półwyspów na świecie). Dla przyjeżdżających samochodem, pamiętajcie że na wyspę można dostać się tylko promem w sezonie w sobotę jest bardzo tłoczno przyjechaliśmy do Drvenika ok 15 a na prom wjechaliśmy o 22.

The place.
Book and stay only in new appartmens, these are with air condition, all is new.
Place around, people here, great.
Easy to walk to Jelsa center.
Pool should be more frequently cleaned and restaurant fully supplied everyday.
And icecream and iced coffee for ledena should be prepared daily!response / report this review -

Tak dnes jsme s rodinou dorazili do Fontány.Velké překvapení nám přichystala cestovní kancelář Česká kormidlo, a to vůbec né dobrou.
Moc děkuji pracovníkovi na recepci. Nakonec se podařilo vše vyřešit i s pomocí šéfa majitele.Zjistili jsme, že cestovní kancelář České kormidlo nám nechalo vyměnit pokoje. Měli jsme řádně zaplacené dva apartmány skoro 30 000 Kč a Kormidlo je nechalo vyměnit za jiné, horší. A nikdo tady z Fontany nevěděl proč. Až když jsme vše přepočítali.Kormidlo tím sehrálo skoro šest tisíc.
Děkuji moc všem pracovníkům,recepčního a majiteli zde ve Fontana resortu za pomoc a ochotu vše vyřešit. Je tu nádherně a výborně vaří a teď se ukázalo, že to jsou lidé na svém místě.
