We did our advanced open Water here and had a great time. Everyone is very professional and we went to the north side for our free fun dives.

Took 3 Padi specialties there. Hope, Michael, Brooklyn and "tec" Scott are beyond exceptional instructors/divemasters and very thorough, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and safe. The operation itself is run very well and they keep the ratio of divemaster to divers small to allow the experience to be enjoyable and safe. Huge emphasis on safety and eco sustainability. These people love their jobs and work their asses off to help you enjoy your diving experience. I've dived around the world, and they are by far the best shop I've worked with. They also have a social club that arranges get togethers throughout the week. If you can handle the partying in the evening and diving the next day, they got you covered with options.

UDC is the absolute best choice on the island! I felt really safe and comfortable throughout my stay, the accommodation was good, the Dive Center organised fun activities in the evenings and most of all - the staff are AWESOME! I did my open water with Scott and Carla. They are both fantastic teachers and made everyone feel really comfortable. I didn’t plan to do my advanced but loved the class with Scott so much that I decided to stay on and do this course with him as well! Bex and Shauna were awesome on the advanced, I’m so glad I stayed on! You get 2 free fun dives after each course which were super fun thanks to Hope!

I think it’s pretty hard to strike the right balance between professionalism and fun, but these guys really hit the nail on the head! You’ll never want to leave. I’ll definitely be back - YAY DIVING!

Me and my drunk friend Shona came here in December. It was an awesome experience. The accommodation was taken care of and the staff were really friendly and up for a laugh. We did our open water certification there and we always felt safe and taken care of.

Did I mention that my mate Shona kept getting piss drunk all the time? 😂. Such a great island.

The Utila Dive Centre is an excellent training facility and the best on the island. The staff are welcoming and of the highest quality. The Mango Inn is also the best hotel on the island.

I completed my open water and advanced open water with Caitlin. Caitlin was an exemplary instructor in both the personal qualities and professional skills that she displayed. Her explanations were clear and concise, her demonstrations were great and made the skills looks easy. Her group management skills were impressive. She managed to accommodate all of individual needs and challenges of our group. She was incredibly patient throughout the entire learning process, and I am almost certain she has eyes in the back of her head. Her feed back was delivered in a positive and respectful manner. Caitlin had a strong knowledge and passion for the marine life that she eagerly shared. Caitlin is environmentally conscience but never condescending.

This is the best dive shop for recreational diving training & especially for professional diver training for quality of education versus the price you'll pay compared to the rest of the diving world!

Great dive company- All diving instructors are very knowledgable and the equipment is new and well maintained. Only had the chance to do my Open Water Dive course due to limited time but hopefully will return to my Advanced course in the near future.

My 32nd Birthday I decided to take off to Utila in hopes of Whale Shark sightings/swimmingI did not see whale sharks ( they were there on my actual birthday I found out so the universe is showing some love) But I earned my open water PADI certificate with some of the best people. I was nervous! SO NERVOUS! your brain is like what is happening! But Sarah, Marley, Josue, Lena, Mylaine, and every other instructor/diver I encountered were so helpful, calming, attentive, and HAPPY to help from day 1 ! I can't wait to go back and experience more of the beauty and life of Utila. ( and maybe get the courage to earn my "Straight out of Utila" shirt : ) Until Next time !

You'll find tons of diving centres here on the island, but I can almost guarantee they aren't as great as UDC.

You pay slightly more than other dive sites (but you get 2 free fun dives and 5 nights accommodation depending on which packages you buy).

The accommodation itself (Mango Inn) was absolutely perfect! What a deal.

I did the Padi open water course and I can't tell you how great the equipment, staff and lectures were. You can really tell the level of quality with UDC right from entering the building.

The instructors were unbelievably patient with myself and my girlfriend and incredibly flexible with dive times and amendments.

Really couldn't have imagined going to another dive school! Highly recommended.
