Went to this hotel for the private room with a deadbolt lock, thinking further from the beach would be safer. After staying there for a few days, my friend and I left the room together around 8pm for dinner, we were gone for under an hour and when we returned our door was wide opened with no sign of forced entry and most of our stuff stolen. They nicely left us about 200 lempiras. When I asked the owner if there were security cameras she said no, but when asked about the one facing the staircase leaving the hotel, she had nothing to say (She "could't understand my spanish") and then told us we could stay for two days "until we had our parents wire us money to pay them back". I to this day believe the staff was responsible for the theft. Do not trust this establishment or the staff.
