A group of my friends and I spent Memorial Day weekend (5days) with Puerto Azul. It was amazing. All 6 of us had the best time of our lives.
Lazy moments swinging in the property's hammokcs. Fresh hot breakfast with the option for dinner. The cutest clean air conditioned rooms with WiFi.
The owner has an abundance of information pertaining to activities, shopping, dining, and the island's nightlife.
The total experience was everything from a day out in sea, fishing, snorkeling at the reef & paddle boarding, horse back riding w/ local market shopping.
Hands down this is the place to stay while your in Roatan.

This place was amazing, Talia was amazing, everything was amazing! Breakfast plate is already determined in the morning but Talia didn’t hesitate to remember to make me a vegetarian plate, and the items she chose were delicious, varied, and healthy. As soon as we sat down she would come over with a hot cup of coffee and talk to us about our day.
There are kayaks, paddle boards, snorkels for use and a very nice communal kitchen If you prefer to make your own food. The room looks just like the pictures, it was beautiful and cleaned everyday while we were at breakfast. The beach is beautiful and quiet, and the dock is perfect for a snorkel or just to relax in the hammocks on.

If we ever make it back this will be the first place I book.

What a dream! Stayed at Puerta Azul for just under a week and had an amazing time. This was an ideal home base away from the hustle and bustle, giving you that true Roatan island feel. If you're a water baby like me, you'll be happy to know some of the best reefs on the island are just off the dock and with kayaks, snorkel gear, and SUPs to use, all you really need is a swimsuit (well maybe some sunscreen too!). Talia knows the island really well and set me up with a great scuba diving outfit for a few dives as well as a fishing boat tour. Thanks for an incredible stay, Puerta Azul.

Fabulous! Beautiful place to forget the world in comfort. Nice, nice owner. Relatively new facilities. Clean and well maintained. Equipment available to snorkel, kayak, and SUP. Perfect fish viewing right off the peer. Coral reef an easy 100m swim from the peer. This place is ace.

We stayed at the amazing Puerta Azul and it was one of the best accommodations we have had the privileged of staying at. The owner was so wonderful and helpful with an amazing attention for detail. We loved the bungalow, delicious food and ocean access. We highly recommend Puerta Azul and will visit again.

    AMAZING!

I highly recommend staying at La Puerta Azúl.

The dock leads you to an amazing reef where you can enjoy snorkeling and swimming in beautiful water. The bungalows are so beautiful, clean and comfortable. The food is fresh and delicious.

I've traveled to many phenomenal places around the world but Puerta Azúl is hands down my new favorite place!

I can only say, the third time was a definite charm. This was my third trip to Roatan and my third time staying at Puerta Azul! From the friendly and accommodating staff, to the variety and value of the included breakfast, to the beauty and relaxation that the secluded, natural and native feel the property has to offer, there are so many reasons to keep coming back. Convenient by a short taxi ($2) to restaurants and local attraction, yet promising a welcome getaway from the crowds and noise of West Bay, Puerta Azul strikes the perfect balance. The feel was warm and inviting and I had to opportunity to meet and share experiences with guests from all over the world. Puerta Azul really is something special. Don't miss the chance to experience true hospitality and island relaxation at it's finest.

What an experience?! Roatan is a great place to vacation and Puerta Azul is its GEM. If you're looking for peace, relaxation, beautiful scenery and comfortable accommodations- you've found the place. With a fitting swim up deck, you can choose to float the day away or swim to nearby reef. Easily accessible to airport and attractions. Whether you intend on staying on the grounds your entire trip or going out on daily excursions you won't be disappointed. Food is good- best breakfast in town. Don't miss the fresh fish and plantains. YUM! Bungalows are new, clean and well maintained. The owner takes great pride and care into this establishment, it's hard not to feel at home. I'm already planning my next trip!

Puerta Azul is a dream. See attached pics of your new "front yard" and this should be self explanatory; nevertheless, I will continue. A friend and I recently stayed there for a week to celebrate my birthday and escape freezing temps in the Northeast. It was the perfect, relaxing getaway spot.

I would say Boutique Hotel / Bed & Breakfast is a very apt description (aside from the obvious which is that a delicious breakfast is included in your VERY reasonable rate) because the vibe is very "live and let live" -- visit alone and keep to yourself with a book and your thoughts, spend a romantic time with just you and a companion, or chat with / get to know interesting fellow guests if that's your vacation jam.

Talia, the owner, is a lovely hostess and makes sure everyone feels comfortable and welcome. If you wish to do some activities other than relaxing in the sun or snorkeling off the dock, Talia will gladly help you plan and make suggestions. With her help, we found some delicious dinner spots on nights that we wanted to eat out, went parasailing, practiced yoga everyday at Roatan Yoga @ Tranquil Seas down the road by quick cab, and even hugged some sloths (yes really, and it was amazing).

The cabanas are clean, new, well appointed, and exactly as you see in the online photos. Could go on and on, but I'll just say - GO! You won't regret your stay at Puerta Azul.

Stayed at Puerta Azul in Roatan last week. Was extremely relaxing. Swam in pristine, clear waters during the day, and watched magnificent sunsets on the dock at night. Talia and her staff are very kind and accommodating. I would recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone who is visiting Roatan.

Restful stay in beautiful, secluded Roatan B&B!

Puerta Azul was perfect! My friend and I stayed in one of the beach front cabanas for a week, and we loved staying there. It was very quiet and restful. The beach is your front yard, with some gorgeous palm trees and other exotics plants and trees in between. The water is crystal clear, and you are very close to an amazing reef for killer snorkeling. The owner, Talia, took amazing care of us and made us amazing breakfasts every morning.I think we ate there for 5 of our mornings, and not sure she repeated a breakfast once. The rooms included really helpful information about touring Roatan which became our "vacation bible" for the week. Definitely recommend staying there!

I had a wonderful experience with my husband at Puerta Azul back in February. We had a romantic stay over Valentines Day with Talia at her delightful B&B on the beach in Roatan. She had tons of info on all the cool, local stuff to do- not that we really wanted to leave her place! Great swimming and snorkeling right off the dock. It's also really convenient that Talia offers food and alcohol for purchase on the premise. We wish we could have stayed longer, but will surely come back to visit soon! Highly recommended!
