This place is awesome. You walk through a forest like atmosphere that allows you to see as well as interact with various tropical birds including macaws and toucans. You even get to hold them and take pictures. Definitely worth it to go to

This isn’t a zoo where they keep birds captive. They actually save them, treat them and feed them in the hope of releasing them and increasing the population. Very nice mission and staff. Site is beautiful as well.

This place is amazing. A place for birds to be rehabed and they are able to release some into the wild again. While there you get to experience the natural beauty and see birds in their cages as well as take pictures with the macaws. I completely recommend it.

Macaw Mountain is an absolute must-see while you are visiting copan!

We took the tour that they offer and the woman was bilingual which helped both my husband and my specific species related questions.

There is a space where you can go swimming in the river, so if that sounds like something that would interest you definitely bring your swimsuits. They are extremely family friendly with a restaurant area and were very helpful to get a Tuk Tuk back to the central square.

We love it. Beautiful birds and scenery. Clean bathrooms and friendly staff. We brought in snacks and sit on a bench.so relaxing. The resturant food seems expensive so I would eat before hand.

Beautiful park. The river runs thru the park giving a relaxing atmosphere. They have a restaurant and a cafeteria with really good food. If you go to copan this is a must see place while you are here.

Beautiful bird park with a small, picturesque river winding its way through the middle of the park. Many of the macaws and toucans are photogenic and love the attention, giving awesome picture opportunities. There is a small restaurant in the middle over the river that has a simple and affordable "tipico" menu, along with locally made smoked cheeses.

I think that this has been one of the most informative bird park I've ever been to. The guide was very friendly and instructive. She showed us pictures of one of the bird that she had rescued (ginger) and the evolution. She even taught him how to fly!!
It's also very nice that they are working on releasing some of them. I do highly recommend this.

A private, bird rescue park, beautifully constructed and maintained, settled in gorgeous grounds. Apparently the receive injured macaw, toucan and other parrots and parakeets. The park features a couple of coffee /restaurant locations nicely set. Around 4 PM we noticed a mosquito or two. Be prepared if it is the kind of thing that bothers you.
