The best place in Gracias! Murals from local artists, gardens with beautiful flowers, and many places to sit back and relax... mine was definitely the hammocks, or patio with mountain view. Food was fantastic, all homemade, and the drinks too!! Rooms nice and clean, and I had hot water in my shower every time :)
Very safe, and a great place to meet travellers and cool locals ( like the owner ).
It is a nice place to relax, you can visit a lot of nearby places and there are bike rentals. Food is nice and the people are really nice as well.
The best option in Gracias. Dorms are air conditioned, spacious and en suite. Nice garden to relax in. It's a bit of a walk from town but no big deal. Wish there were security lockers in the rooms.
Angel, the proprietor, is fantastic. The food was delicious. The trip to the Canopy (zip line) and rappelling at La Iguala was unbelievable!
Honduras has more than Copan and the Islands. You definitely have to go to Gracias and met Angel in his garden. He will offer you delicious food with honduran ingredients. On the menue are among others savory Burger with homemade bread and please, don´t miss the best Pizza in Honduras. What fits to drink? Of course, a cold beer! I´m from Germany...so I can say, that also the beer is very tasty.
Especially I love the place because of the garden - the plants and the colorfull flowers. The rooms are bright, very clean and well equipped with fair prices. I stayed some days there and I felt like home. All of the workers are very lovely and helpful people.
Gracias is a peacefull and typiycal small city. Nearby you have the posibility to hike to the highest point in Honduras and do the longest Ziplining in Central America. Also you can marvel the variety of birds and the amazing sunsets.
Soooo...do not hesitate, it is definetly worth it to visit Gracias and "El Jardin Cafe". Angel is really doing a good job, keep it up! Thank you for everything!!!
Welll this place is great hospitality is nice prices ok come and feel home
Went to the Jardín Cafe on 26 Nov. 2016 and it appeared closed. Gates were all secured and locked, no sign was posted indicating any hours, and the hotel didn't seem to be open at all - or at least there was no indication of any guests anywhere. I returned 30 minutes later and encountered a woman behind the gate. When I asked about whether any rooms were available, she said she didn't know and that I should come back another time... Is the cafe open? Are there rooms available? What's going on? I don't know -- but it looks like a nice place should it (re)open - and maybe the owners can post some clear signs indicating what's happening / hours / details of the business... (If the owners have reopened, I look forward to seeing their message here in response my own.)
