Really loved this place, the people, the diving, the equipment, the bar and just the relaxed vibe! We were here five days for our advanced Open Water and had five days of fun. At Valentines a dinner was organised, very nice and as we say in Holland 'gezellig' to meet people or to get to know them better! Also there was a movie night, with popcorn!!!
The rooms are basic but since you don't really spend time here except for sleeping it was definitely okay for us!
And the staff: Carol, Chris, Maca, Charlie, Carl and the others, thanks for making our stay amazing. We will be back!response / report this review -

They totally deserve the straight 5 star rating! At this shop you know you are in good hands. Very professional dm's and instructors who make you feel right at home. I recommend 100%!

Best diving school/center in town! (okay, we visited only this one) but we were so excited that we decided to stay 8 days instead of 4 days as originally planned. The staff is super mega awesome friendly und helped us with everything. :)

This place felt like home from the second we walked in. The crew were super fun and professional. The gear was all well maintained. The beers were well earned after a good day of diving. The accommodation is simple, but free for divers and definitely sufficient. They were competitive on prices.
We (honeymoon) ended up staying longer than planned, and it was hard to say goodbye when the time came.
I can't recommend them enough to anyone coming to Utila. I will definitely be back one dayresponse / report this review -

Excellent service from Ecomarine Gunter’s dive center! Their Open Water course was perfect; One instructor to 2 students, you can’t beat that😊. I overcome my fear and did my Advanced as well. Lots of thanks to your dedicated team, and their efforts…. I will surely tell my friends to come to your dive shop.

I have read different reviews Gunter's Ecomarine, and then approached this dive shop for their service.I am a passionate diver, and I’m very impressed with the fun dives leads. North Side trip it a MUST, but only for advanced divers. Overall great experience diving with Gunter’s Ecomarine.

As people say this dive school is truly amazing, mainly so because of the kindness and cheer of the people who work there.
Finding the right balance between being laid back and a dedication to safe & quality diving and education, this smaller, but charming school (built out completely over the water) can be a pleasant relief on Útila -where things can easily get loud and boisterous- , their smaller scale and relaxed, but serious attitude will make any good natured diver feel like home.response / report this review -

Awesome diving & awesome people/teachers!! Never imagined loving scuba diving so much! I would recommend Ecomarine to anyone who wanted to get certified, they make you feel super comfortable and really safe and honestly we had the most incredible teacher, Chaz! Can't wait to be back one day :)

Absolutely the best shop on the island! My daughter and I both completed the Open water course and became certified divers. We were treated with the outmost respect from everyone at the shop including the owner. Not once did I feel unsafe and I allowed my daughters to hang out at the dock with no concerns whatsoever. The staff looked out for the safety of all their guests and went beyond expectations to ensure everyone enjoyed themselves while staying safe. I highly recommend this dive shop as they will become lifelong friends. Chaz Evans was our instructor who helped me through some panicky moments with the outmost of care. He is fantastic. The owner, Ray, accompanied us on the boat and was helpful and professional at all times. Carolina in the office always has a smile on her face! And the rest of the crew is fantastic. An absolute pleasure to have met everyone can't wait to return! I would never dive with anyone else!

Obviosly someone trying to damage the image of the dive shop.
My boyfriend and I were in Utila, and we decided to check out options.
At Ecomarine we had one instructor for the two of us. Dive masters and instructors are flexible, fun, easy going and overall amazing. I met the whole staff, also the owner who was very friendly and professional. it was amazing experienced, knowledgeable, helpful and of course fun. Very welcoming and warm , no-pressure atmosphere. Loved the sunset at the dock. Will definitely come back:)response / report this review -

I enjoyed diving and staying at the ecomarine dive shop. The shop is relatively small, which enables the divers to get to know the staff and the other divers. We had a couple BBQs on the docks and many beautiful nights watching the sun set and the moon rise.
The dive sites were spectacular and the divemasters meticulous and thorough, making diving easy and enjoyable.response / report this review -

You will not have have more fun in an environment this chill! What wonderful staff who really care to get to know every guest personally. This feels like a vacation, not a dive factory.
