  No credit cards accepted but 2nd deck looks like a good perch to hang out. We did not try anything this time. Plenty of other places worthwhile that will take Visa.

  Yummy, thanks to Cafe Escondido for the delicious lunches and nice & smiling staff. The daily diver's special is great, as well as the teriyaki bowl and veggie pita. Everything we tried was delicious and vegetarians options are available. And you must have the homemade cookie & ice cream sandwich. We had one everyday until we had to head back home. A real treat! Staff and customers of a nearby diveshop are now addicted as well!!! Looking forward to go back ASAP!

  Even though a little hard to find the first time (Escondido meaning "hidden" in Spanish), it is well worth the effort and a spot not soon forgotten. Amazing breakfasts, try the Pesto Toast, and asian fusion lunches with rice and noodle bowls. Great view and even greater coffee.

  Located above West End Divers, Cafe Escondido has very tasty breakfast options, some great thirst quenching lemonades, and a daily $5 diver deal that shouldn't be missed. Be sure to get one of their rice or noodle bowls as well.
