Can’t believe how rude the hostess is! Unbelievable! Don’t think I’ll ever come back again! Whoever comes here please watch out the girl with nose piercing in front desk!

Incredible yakitori and great atmosphere. We got a table for 7 as walk ins pretty easily on a Monday night. It's not cheap (no food in Hong Kong seems to be!) but well worth the trip - recommended dishes include the sweetcorn tempura, KFC (Korean fried cauliflower) and the meatball skewer. Good cocktails too.

Such a treat. Delicious assortment of yakatori done to perfection. Get there early as they will run out of the more popular options. Really enjoyed the sweet corn tempura balls and cocktail list. Staff were very attentive and happy to help you order.

Yardbird is yummy but there is always such a long line.. even in new location. last time I went I waited about 70 minutes and was starving so I went out to find a snack to tide me over and just discovered a great place just a few doors down called Mean Noodles with great happy hour food and drinks deal to sit and relax while we wait for a table at YB. Must try especially with upcoming summer don’t want to wait in the heat

    Best chicken I've ever eaten.

So much to recommend - but the meatball, the fried chicken and the scotch egg we're probably my favourites.

Oh yeah, it's as good as everyone says. No reservations, so get there early to get a seat - doors open at 6pm. The new location is awesome - significantly larger than the last location and they even have multiple urinals in the washroom at this one! I am a big fan of the organs and unusual offerings - it all tastes like chicken, so don't be afraid to explore. The KFC and corn balls are must order items. On the pricey side, so don't expect it to be a cheap meal, but it will definitely be delicious.

We had an excellent experience here! We arrived when they opened and avoided the wait. Sat right down and started to feast! There are tons of tasty options to choose from and this is an excellent place to eat with friends and share different items from the menu. We loved all the skewers and the fried chicken. The KFC was also extremely tasty! You can’t go wrong. Even the cocktails were unique and well balanced. Give yardbird a shot and you won’t be disappointed!

Very hip but they deliver with excellent cocktails and flawless food. Everything we tried was excellent. The corn fritter and chicken hearts were especially delicious

It is worthy of the hype. Downside of this is that it gets pretty busy.

We tried something from every section of the menu except dessert and enjoyed it all. If you go with a group definitely get the pickled vegetables to accompany your order, the additional cost is low and it adds a lot of variety to the meal.

More than lived up to all the hype. More impressive than the food - which was amazing – was the service staff. Each was running the business as their own, making sure to explain each dish, checking in on customers at every opportunity, generally just making sure they have a good time. You can see they really love what they do.

There's a bit of a wait, but so worth it. I've been following this restaurant for a few years. Pretty excited to finally try. And what a great dinner. Staff was welcoming. The food was great. A few things were already sold out. I had a drink that was refreshing. Can't say enough about how enjoyable this experience was. The waitress came over and gave us a sake shot.

Fun, pumping restaurant and worthy of the hype. Went Saturday night and had an hour wait which isn't too bad for Saturday nights. Able to order drinks and something to eat while waiting. Food was great as was service.

Amazing vibrant Japanese restaurant in the heart of SoHo. Some incredible food - don't miss the Kentucky Fried Cauliflower or the Chicken Heart yakitori. Plenty of good sake and cold beers makes this a great night with close friends

Who knew chicken parts could taste so good. I'm still dreaming about their Chicken Liver Pâté on milk toasts fried in rendered chicken fat. Sake menu is top notch.

Fantastic service, great food, and memorable cocktails. Popular spot for expats. Sit at the bar and talk to the bartenders. You'll be mesmerized.

First time customer. Long wait. Didn't mind waiting but got pissed off when saw new people (clearly not on the waitlist) rocking up & walking right in to get a table before us. Not cool. Quite rude! Obviously needed to be a regular or know the staff personally.

I particularly liked the Chicken and Egg rice, which had the tastiest chicken skin, and the meatball yakitori. They went well with the whiskey lemonade, which was pleasantly sour and strong at the same time. I hope they've added new items to the menu since my last visit. Definitely checking it out again when I return to HK this year.

Izakaya concept (albeit up-scale), yakitori (skewered chicken) focus. Interesting enough, and the chicken was good in the main - but for me the two stand out dishes were both fish, one of which a special of the day. A kitchen tasting is offered (ie. they'll serve you up a number of dishes, of their choosing), but I'd suggest making your own mind up.

This is a perfect place to hangout. Nice ambience and friendly staff. Pretty busy everyday, but you can order drink while waiting for a table.

Famous for their yakitori , try meatball and chicken tail. perfect match with highball or japanese whisky.

Best food, Super friendly staff, what more could you ask for? Well no bookings is a pain and of you arrive after 7 it's generally a 1 hour wait but totally worth it.

This place was amazing + definitely lived up to the hype! Maybe because we're coming from the US where the portions can be ginormous, my husband + I found them to be the perfect size. It actually allowed us to try more dishes!!! Everything was delicious perfectly smoky + well seasoned. I'll definitely be back!
