Well laid out attraction with plenty of things to do. Bus transfers every half hour from different points of the area. Last cable car departs around 6pm. Starbucks available, boat tours and fishermen village quite interesting. Could be a photographers paradise as well. Beware that Storm warmings could halt all cable car operations causing delays.

Would advise you to pre book the tickets online from Ngong Ping's official website only. Also, though it will cost a bit extra but go for Crystal cabin for amazing see through views from cable car. About the placeany set of words would not justify this amazing place. EXCELLENT

A very good experience. A long ride up into the mountains. That terminates at the base of the Big Buddha.
Also at the top is a tourist village. Nice but a little on the pretentious side.
It's an easy walk to the Big Buddha.
So if your interested in great scenery and a pleasant trip the NongPing 360 is well worth it. Best value the Standard Car. Same view as the Chrystal Car only offers an extra view of the trees below.

Probably the longest cable car ride I've ever been on. It takes you up the mountain and all the way around to the Big Buddha. On the way, you get breathtaking views of the airport, the surrounding mountains, and the sea. As you approach the other end, you also get a great glimpse of the Buddha. Note: buy tickets online beforehand. They can include tours and other attractions on the mountain, which end up being cheaper overall. Also, take the glass bottom car for a different experience.

Great views, beautiful ride. One of the best ways to get up to the Big Buddha. I have been very early morning in the ethereal swirling mists which was enchanting, and also later in the day when it was clearer but busier. The views were more expansive at this time but both rides had their attractions.
The Crystal Carriage is worth it as the see through floor makes the ‘up in the air’ feeling even more real. If you can choose maybe save the Crystal Carriage for the return journey. So the normal one doesn’t seem not as cool after the Crystal. Have fun and take a sweater or jacket as it can get cold up top on the mountain 😀👍🏽

Well worth the price, if you are interested in doing the crystal version (glass floor) you can get normal version one way and crystal version the other. I'd recommend doing normal first and crystal second based on the lengths of the lines. Great photo opp all around!

The cable car is an interesting way to travel to see the giant Buddha statue in Lantau island. Along the way you'll see views of planes landing and taking off at the airport, hill peaks and valleys, ocean and bays. It's an amazing engineering feat.
Plan to go on a clear day as there's plenty of opportunity to take pictures.
Don't spend much time in the "authentic" village and quickly work your way to the statue, stopping to have your picture taken with the hungry cows that live along the path.
Buy "Meal Tickets" at the base of the stairs if you want to view inside the Buddha, but it's not necessary if you only plan to climb and enjoy the view.
The temple is also worth visiting if you have the time.

Lovely scenic cable car ride. The village has lovely eateries for all cuisines. The giant buddha statue is magnificent. One needs to climb 268 steps to reach the Buddha. The scenic view is beautiful. Climate is wonderful.

Best time to visit when it's sunny and cool. Otherwise if too hot there isn't much shade around. Beautiful scenery and great ride. You could even see the airport on the way up. Also I wasn't expecting such a long ride, apparently it is the top in the world! :O It gets a bit scary when there is heavy rain or wind, nevertheless I highly recommend you to visit ;)

Great attraction near the airport in Hong Kong. The cable car rides offers great views and the restaurants and shopping in the town are great, plus the staff are very friendly. The area around the Buddha is very nice and respectful but very crowded. Strange part about this area is the free roaming cows, very odd for a tourist attraction, be careful.

The cable car ride to the top is simply amazing. We took a cable car which has a glass see through floor and this made the experience more interesting. The huge Buddha and other idols there are great visual treats. They also have some restaurants like subway, an Indian one and others there. Make sure you book the cable car ride well in advance online else there is a huge queue. Good experience overall.

Need to make sure you book online or get up early and to the cable cars. Gets busy very quickly and will end up a long time waiting and by the afternoon the place is packed. Got first lift up no waiting and a good view from 360 lift and very interesting at the top. I got the feeling a few more people from the west could be a little more respectful to the fact it was a temple. But still worth a visit. Very impressive.

Fantastic experience and beautiful views. The que without booking tickets was quicker, but still a good 2 hours to get through onto cable car. Make sure you arrive early to make most of your time. Sweet village and big Buddha at the top. Last cable cars at 6pm.

Exhilarating and wonderful experience riding the Ngong Ping 360 cable car. Enjoy the beautiful scenery during the 30 minute cable car ride. At the top, there's plenty of things to do in Ngong Ping Village, go up to the Big Buddha, trek along the Wisdom Path, and visit Po Lin Monastery.

The views of the cable cars are amazing and the changing landscape make for a dramatic take of Lantau. Good service. Reasonably priced and well maintained.

Excellent village with rope car access to go top.

With iconic big Buddha statue and long rope car, must visit place and children can enjoy a lot, particularly in crystal cabin cars

Rope car is great and travels over sea and mountains. Crystal car is having glass bottom and we can get top view of sea and mountain.

Very well maintained.

Only issue will be getting the tickets during peak seasons.

There was a storm so we did have to wait for this to pass before going into the cable cars. Staff did bring out water for people.
Views are lovely and the views from the top are stunning.
We enjoyed our visit, lots to see and depending on what you want to do. We only paid for return cable car, no tours. We only done the basics

Starting with Tung Chung and Hong Kong Airport, this ride shuttles passengers starting at Lantau Island and arriving with a stunning view of the Big Buddha statue.
Along with the Star Ferry and Ding Dings, the cable cars are unique to Hong Kong and cannot be missed out on.
I don't mind taking the regular car instead of the Crystal car as it doesn't make a big difference since the better views are mostly on the horizon. There might be longer queues during weekends, so the sooner you get there, the better.

The tram station was easily accessible from the subway, even for visitors with no previous knowledge of the city. The views on the way to the top were amazing. The Buddha and Temple at the top were breathtaking.

An really great experience, especially the Crystal car that has the glass floor of the cable car. It's expensive, but we'll worth it! It's a very long ride, and there's lots to do on the other side. To save money, skip the package and just but the cable car ride! Most of the good stuff on the other side is free!

This cable car has majestic views that take you across the sea, past the airport and across the greenery of the mountain. And it is surprisingly stable and sturdy, even though when we visited, it was just after a typhoon and we can see and feel the strong winds. Really enjoyed the experience.

Must do cable car ride. We used the crystal cabin one way and the views were just stunning. Definitely a super way to get to Po Lin monastery and the Big Buddha ( though both were disappointing - due to clouds, constant resin and rampant commercialism in the main area). The Ngong Ping village though was a wonderful, though commercial experience. Well maintained and clean in spite of the constant downpour.

The famous cable car is under maintenance, altough dissapointing but considering the weather then it may be the best time. You can still visit the village by tour only if you are interested to see the Buddha and monastery.

Make sure start early 7:00am to get a better view while in car cable or else heist will ruin your view. Spectacular Buddha. I'm blessed when i saw it.

Good view. Super long trip from the station to ngong ping by cable card.
Not recommended to come here during new year's holiday.
I stuck in the queue about 2 hours to get in and 2 hours to going back. So i spent 4 hours only for queue. 😥😥😥😥

Also it feels very touristy, but it's well worth the visit. Do yourself a favour and join one of the tours. Not only you'll accompanied by good guides, you'll skip the crazy queue that could easily take up 2-3 hours.
