  One of the best Buddhist monastery I have seen so far. Beautiful art work , superb outdoor décor , very huge statue of Buddha in the monastery. I enjoyed taking a look at the city from the toppest floor. The prayers was soo calming and peaceful. The art work , statues and painting no words.
  The road to the monastery was not that great though. The place looks old and a bit unclean but once you enter the monastery you are in another world.

  Impressive monastery, don't let the new building fool you, the older temple behind it is incredibly intricate and the main hall at the top is an amazing sight to see. The newer building was closed when I visited so will pop back to see what that is like, though I suspect it won't be more impressive than the older building behind it.

  A modern and traditional buddhist monastery. It's easy to get to since it is just across from the LRT station. There are plenty of spaces to sit, meditate and relax. Personally, I prefered the more traditional structure next to the modern one. The modern one is nice with all the natural light but I guess I am more of a traditionalists. There weren't a lot of tourists in the area and it is nice to have lunch in the nearby village. Well worth the trip.

  Miu Fat Monastery in Lam Tei, due north of Tuen Mun town centre, is one of the most eye-catching Buddhist complexes in the territory. Wander through the peaceful rock garden to find two stone lions and two stone elephants guarding the entrance. Inside you'll find a golden likeness of Buddha and three larger statues of Lord Gautama. You can't miss the soaring new extension, a 45m tower resembling a huge crystal lotus blossom. Unsurprisingly, the structure glows at night.

  Wow. Don't be fooled by the village of Lam Tei and the strange, modern building that welcomes you to 'Miu Fat Sze' - the actual traditional temple is amazing. Not at all what I was expecting to see in the tiny, rural village. The outside is lovely but just wait until you get inside; gorgeous.
