  This campsite is covered in garbage and doesn't smell too now. There was one (almost unusable) portable toilet here when I was there.
  Not recommended.

  Easily-accessed campsite with a beach alongside. The campsite is quite big that every slot can fit around 2 medium-sized camps.
  The bad side is you can find garbages on the beach and hear the noises of the HK-Macau jet boats every few minutes. At night, the sky is not totally dark as it is quite near the main road. ONE POINT to take note of is that there is no mobile service reception at the campsite and you need to walk 15 mins back to get some network.

  Like other beaches in southwest Lantau, this beach has the problem of too much garbage. But don't attribute the dark colour of sand to pollution. The dark colour is the result of hornblende.
  The camp site is quiet and far from most tourists, but stream may dry up in winter.

  Dirty as. Like trash literally everywhere. Nice to wake up to a beach sunrise before you have to wade out through all the grub everyone else has just left to rot. Disgusting really

  For Hong Kong it is nice and relatively secluded, but be aware of there is a lot of garbage on the beach. Also, it is right on the path of the Hong Kong-Macau ferries, which come close to shore at this point. So there are boats (and helicopters) going by almost constantly during the day, and it is more distracting than at other Lantau beaches because they are so close to shore.

  A great place for camping with convenient transportation. You can see the milky way at night and enjoy the sound of nature.

  Great camping site, away from crowd, easily accessible by bus or taxi, and best of all, no light pollution at night, and no cell coverage :D great place to take Milky Way pics. And there are basic pit toilets and shower by the stream

  Cosy little beach time close to busstation so you don't have to walk more then 10-15 minutes to get here. Overcrowded on Saturday. Only us and 1 more tent on Sunday

  Would be a truly beautiful place to camp if it weren't for the insane amount of garbage on the beach.
  
  On the positive side, Lo Kei Wan has been known to host phosphorescent plankton from time to time, which can be quite beautiful when the waves roll in at night.
  
  Concrete/strong fire pits, toilets, and even primitive shower facilities are available.
